Stumbled upon this place by chance and was pleasantly surprised by my experience dining in this hidden gem. Decoration wise, the place is old but has a classy theme and upkeep. Ordering is done at the counter and refilling of water and sauces are available on a separate self-service counter. The place looks clean and generally comfortable although I suspect during peak time, it will be a struggle to get a table here since it is not a very big place.

I had the hotplate chicken chop that came with spaghetti, mixed vegetables, egg (you see two in the photo because I requested for an extra), and well, the Chicken chop. Every element in the plate was nicely and beautifully cooked, especially the protein that was tender and juicy. In a multi-element meal like this one, usually the quality of one or two things in it would be weaker than the rest but this is not the case. The gravy they provided also complimented the meat well.

They also have a Heathy Food Menu which my wife tried and complimented as well (I haven't tried it myelf because I arrived late). My daughter was given a free scoop of Mint-flavoured Ice Cream which was amazing for me because my daughter couldn't eat it (she was coughing :p). I normally hate mint-flavoured ice creams as I usually find them overhelming. But the flavour in this one was mild enough to just allow a hint of the mint-ness to deliver the right punch and the texture was nice.

Price-wise considering the quality of food and portion, it was fair. My meal cost me RM 21++ and it was a hearty meal. Depending on the time you visit, you may have problem getting a parking spot.

Summing it all up: Good food Ice Cream is nice Good looking place Limited tables Parking availability may...

A cafe called Origin Cafe. It had been operated more than ten years time.

The ambiance of a cozy cafe can greatly enhance the dining experience, making it more enjoyable and relaxing. It's wonderful that you had a positive experience with the food, particularly highlighting the spaghetti aglio olio and grilled chicken chop. These dishes are often favorites for many due to their flavorful taste and satisfying textures.

Additionally, the cafe's focus on a healthier food range is commendable. The option of choosing a salad base, multi-grain rice base, or white rice base for their signature healthier origin bowl shows their commitment to catering to different dietary preferences and needs. This variety allows customers to enjoy a nutritious meal without compromising on taste.

Moreover, the inclusion of vegetarian dishes such as buttermilk mushroom, wild mushroom, and spaghetti vegetables adds depth to their menu, making it inclusive for all diners, regardless of their dietary choices. It's great to see cafes offering such diverse options to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Overall, this cafe sounds delightful, combining a cozy atmosphere with delicious food choices that cater to various dietary preferences, making it a memorable...

Passed by this cafe a few times but after checking out Google Maps for info, decided to go give this place a try. First the parking here is limited so you might end up going around a few times before you found one. There is a paid parking basement opposite the cafe but not sure if it is open at night.

You first order and pay at the counter. Ordering can be abit slow as one guy is inputting the order and then collect the payment on the spot. Once that is done, you go to find a table and wait. There is free water available. Nice. And looking around the cafe, I see all the patrons finish their food. A good sign. And when ours arrived, it didnt disappoint. Portion was ok. Bigger than average. Taste is good. The drinks were good as well. Especially the calamansi. No complaints on the food for us.

As we finishing up our meal, the chef/boss came with 2 small cups of ice cream for the kids. What a kind gesture. We were very surprised. Our first impression of the cafe is great. Will definitely come again to try their rice bowls and other western dishes.

And price...price is reasonable. It's almost the same or same as the western food sold at the nearby food court. Would definitely come here again to try their...
