A hidden gem inside industrial area in PJ. Came here to celebrate anniversary with wife, below rating for what we ordered:
bbq grilled squid 4/5 (Portion and size was large, smoky and taste perfect with the lime & belacan. Quite expensive for this dish)
satay chic+beef 4/5 (Chic was so so, the beef was so tender and flavorful, the meat size given was big though)
chili crab with mantau 4/5 (The sauce they made were good, but slightly light to me, could be better if thicker taste. Mantau were crispy outside, soft inside, size big too, quite nice)
spicy soup lala 4/5 (Due to this restaurant being licensed halal, the most important soul for this dish “wine” was absent for sure, broth taste okay la, but can be far more better, maybe u can top up the amount of ginger slice and chili padi to make some kick for the soup, luckily u have fresh & big size lala to save the dish😂 portion was generous too)
Their staff especially the foreign worker superb polite and helpful, and so caring until every move u did he would come to help u if necessary..big thumbs up👍
Overall, price was slightly above average, taste too, very generous portion/size of dish, and parking very friendly. Will come back to try the salted grilled fish and...
Read moreWe had our Chinese New Year reunion dinner here. Our first visit. Our booking slot was 6.30pm. We reached on time. Restaurant was quite full. We were informed of our table seating no 8 at the entrance. A chinese waiter showed us the the table and we were asked if food can be serve, preordered earlier. I said yes. We waited quite a bit. It was already 7pm. As all the other tables were already served, I asked the same chinese waiter what happen to our order. He went to the kitchen and checked. Came out and told me there was a mixed up and assured me that the kitchen will prepare our order immediately. Our order was finally served at 7.20pm. We have to eat hurriedly to make way for 7.30pm slot customers. Whilst eating, the other waiters were busy clearing and setting other tables for new customers. Even new cutlery sets were already placed on a trolley ready for setting on our table! We finished eating our food at 7.35pm. It wasn't an enjoying eating experience at all. Food wise, we like the Lala soup and Claypot bean curd. The Salted egg sotong has no salted egg taste and the sotong is hard to bite. The butter prawn dish which is popular for its butter floss is so unlike what we have tasted...
Read morethe ambience there was nice, quite lively as there are many people. some of the waiter will help you while some doesnt even when you ordered something they tend to forget and i had to ask 3 times for my drink until it arrived. so service depends on the waiters, but understandably it was quite busy so i wasnt mad or anything . in terms of food it was really good quite surprisingly because as a malay my food palate tends to be more rich and thick because i know chinese food are generally bland in flavour, ( from what i have tasted before and what i have studied) however most of the chinese cuisine that was served was really delicious ( came for company dinner, didnt order own food, only drinks) . Unfortunately theres no official Halal as they do serve alcohol here but they said that they dont put any in their cooking, so all i can do is tawakal since it was a company dinner but i dont think i would go for by my own choice. So whether you want to go or not thats up to you (if ur muslim), all i can say is that the food was delicious even the apple juice was so good very KAW (that i had to request 3 times). thats all have a good one and enjoy...
