Update 1: Visited several times, the price, freshness as well as the quality of service and food has time and time again made us realize how good this shop is. 🤤👌

Firstly, the food is always hot and fresh especially the yong Tau foo which I find it hard to get even in Bentong itself. Their menu choices are also super extensive with many coming during tea time as well to savour their breads.

We especially love the curry noodle as it's thick but light at the same time. Oh yea, please considering ordering their siham as for us it's a must order! It's half raw, very fresh and dipped in a certain curry/sambal like broth that's to die got. 😍

For the yong Tau foo, the fried dumpling, brinjal and pork are our favourites. With their yong Tau foo always being hot and fresh it's something we are getting spoiled with. I swear by the end of this I won't even dare to eat left on counter yong Tau foo shops anymore. 😋

Furthermore, the young boss lady is always really helpful and her staff provides excellent service as far as we have dined in, as although we had some misorders it was quickly resolved.☺️

Finally, the price continues to wow us with it's value, a lot of times you will realize that it's hard to even finish their all day sets due to the generous portions they provide with the price, on top of that you get to choose almost any large drink within the menu per set which is crazy good value, the drinks taste great as well, not to sweet and more than enough to take away.

Overall, our consistently great experience at little bentong street has raised my expectations for yong Tau foo shops, for that I have raised my ratings and thank them for the great food and service.

First time visiting, a shop that was full of patrons especially old timers when we passed by, we just had to walk in to see why this shop is so popular during the lunch hour.

Low and behold, to our pleasant surprise this is a shop that sells Yong Tau Foo from bentong! As we often travel to bentong for Yong Tau Foo we had to take a seat and try this for ourselves.

The true reason for the huge crowd definitely is in the pricing, it's lunch set starts from Rm11.9 with a noodle dish like Curry noodles or Chee Chong Fun with any 3 Yong Tau Foo of your choice! It even comes with a large size drink of your choice as well, fantastic deal I must say!

The food was pretty decent especially the yong Tau foo, tasted similar perhaps even better as it always comes out hot, great 😃! The curry sauce Chee Chong fun is okay, as the noodles are a bit tasteless as it doesn't absorb the curry sauce well.

The drinks are quite kaw, I recommend choosing the kopis and tehs as they are quite good but the barly and limau ais are quite bland.

The service is fast and accurate, no issues there 😃. The biggest problem about this shop is the parking available, quite impossible to get one as it's located on a popular row of shops.

Overall, a very affordable shop that has hot and fresh yong Tau foo.

My new go-to spot for yong tau foo even fam loves it , thanks to a persistent recommendation from a friend. While their yong tau foo is absolutely delightful, I must admit that everything else I tried was rather forgettable. Don't set your hopes too high for the other dishes, but definitely make a visit for their exceptional yong tau foo and mouthwatering bentong tau fu pok.

What we had :

Yong tau foo Rm1.7 /pc 🌟 The fish paste filling was generously portioned, fresh, and delightfully bouncy. Every bite was absolutely satisfying.

Bentong tau fu pok 🌟 As a fan of bentong tau fu pok, I must say that the ones here are absolutely fantastic! The stuffed beancurd is incredibly delicious, and I couldnt get enough of it. If you're a fan of stuffed beancurd, this is a must-try!

Curry chee cheong fun ❌️ The curry sauce lacked flavor and had a watery consistency . Additionally, the chee cheong fun was not smooth as I hoped.

Curry mee ❌️ The curry mee broth here was disappointingly bland and didn't impress me.

Signature bentong steamed bihun with fish ❌️ I found the broth to be excessively salty, and the fish meat was mushy and not fresh. However, the fish paste was delicious and flavorful. If the broth had been less salty and the fish fresher, it would be a great choice for those who enjoy a strong ginger taste.

Bentong taufupok vacuum packed 10pcs- Rm16 🌟 Their tau fu pok is incredibly delicious! I highly recommend getting it for your family. Trust me, they will absolutely love...

Generally clean and tidy. However, I did see one worker constantly dripping customers' drinks onto the floor (Wasn't just one drink by the way). The waiters there were OK as they didn't say much. Fortunately, the food there are very affordable. However, once the food arrived, the quality of the food explained why the prices are so affordable. The first problem that I had was that the food that I ordered, the cantonese kueyteow meehon, looked different from the menu. Though, at least I felt that the food was alright. The next problem I had with the food is that the black pepper chicken chop seemed very large, but when I looked at it properly, it seemed like the chicken chop wasn't 100% meat. It looked like it had other things like fishcake or something, which caused the chicken chop to have very little chicken meat inside. Not only that, the black pepper sauce for the chicken chop was too peppery! It tasted like canned black pepper sauce in my opinion. The drinks that I bought, teh o limau and limau barley, both didn't have much taste in my opinion. The limau barley could use more lime taste and the teh o limau could have been sweeter in my opinion. At the very least, the yau mak and the rojak I ordered tasted delicious. Furthermore, the dishes didn't take too long to arrive. If you are looking for a place with affordable prices, I recommend this place. On the other hand, if the quality of food matters more to you, I don't recommend...
