I was at Taman Hati on Saturday (24th June) for a private terrarium workshop that I booked directly with the owner, Jan. I did the workshop with my boyfriend to celebrate our 4th year anniversary. Booking the session with Jan was really great because she really tries to consult you on the kind of terrarium and jar that we wanted. So, I got to choose a nice large and wide bowl that allowed my boyfriend and I to work on the terrarium together. I thought that doing one together would be a lot more meaningful than making our own ones. I'm also super grateful for Jan's kindness and being so accommodating. Unfortunately, we ended up being late as I hosted an event prior to that which ended up dragging longer than it should have and I was also stressing out about being late for the workshop. Jan was so kind and accommodated us and ensured that I was going through the workshop calmly and not rushed and stressed out. Things like that really, really mattered to me and made the experience all the more meaningful. The terrarium workshop was super fun, and I learnt a lot from Jan! Read moreI typically don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience at this cafe was disappointing. I was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member and enjoyed my coffee and cake while working on my laptop. Shortly after I got my order, I noticed a smaller table had opened up, so I asked if I could move there to take up less space. The staff member kindly agreed and helped me relocate my order, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, her demeanor shifted and left without a smile. When the 90-minute mark hit, she placed a menu on my table rather abruptly, which felt rude. I noticed a fellow customer next to me had a similar reaction.
I understand the cafe has a dine-in policy, and I would have happily left if it were busy. But the cafe was quite empty at that moment and I felt unwelcomed. It was disheartening, especially compared to the very warm reception I...
Read moreTaman Hati has moved to a new space in Bangsar surrounded by the trendiest spots of the area. (Lisette’s, Coley just to name a few) Came here on a Friday afternoon and the place was unsurprisingly fully occupied by patrons.
The place is skilfully curated with pots and plants with a lot of rustic elements while keeping the space cosy, as in one’s home. Their menu offers a limited selection of drinks but it is understandable based on the space available in the restaurant.
The three friendly resident cats are guaranteed to make cat lovers smile and you may find yourself writing a four star review for the space on google solely because of how adorable they are :p
Tips: Have an alternate place in mind while planning your visit as you might not be able to get a seat due to limited seating capacity.
The place can get a little stuffy so dress...
