Enjoyed the food in their Kepong branch and tried out this branch. It was a good meal especially if you love Hunan / Sichuan food. Expect bold flavours and saltiness in some dishes. Good thing is the food is not as oily as those found in China.

The taro tiger grouper fishpot and crispy fish with sauerkraut and pickles were firm favourites. They do top up the soup, another plus. The spicy chicken (I call it popcorn chicken) is delicious and I had a good time picking through the meat pieces and garlic pearls. The Beijing cabbage is one of the better ones in KL, opt for the added pork belly. The chilli fried meat was good too, a bit salty for me. Beware: the spicypot lotus root is only for mala aficinadoes.

The downside: they "bribe" you for 5-star ratings. The head waitress is persuasive and offered to even do the rating for you. It does get overbearing. Hence the 3 ⭐ rating for service.

Atmosphere was OK. We were sat near to the door and they kept the door opened all the time. It was warm for us, especially when we were consuming hot soup.

Be careful when moving around the restaurant. The floor tiles are the shiny ones. I nearly slipped when exiting the toilet.

I believe there are areas where the service quality can be improved to enhance the customer experience.

During our visit, we ordered the 酸菜鱼 and experienced multiple issues. Firstly, after waiting for 15 minutes, we received the dish with the soup still cold. We requested a staff member to reheat it in the kitchen. However, it was returned still cold. Despite informing other staff members, there was no further action taken to address the issue. We were left uncertain if the staff did not understand this simple instruction or if it was neglected. As a result, we eventually had to request the dish to be taken back and canceled.

Additionally, we noticed a lack of coordination among the staff. Despite confirming our order initially, we were repeatedly approached to reconfirm the same order, even though we had only ordered two dishes.

Lastly, we observed that many of the high ratings and reviews appear to be influenced by staff offering customers free BBQ or side dishes in exchange for positive reviews. Food is good and portion valuable for the price pay. The service is unpleasant, in WhatsApp reservation already remind “When arrive might have to wait for awhile ya coz before you have another customer booked.🤭 Just incase customers haven't leave yet.... We will do a billing for them and clean table , around 5-15mins. If they leave in time then no worries ya😊”

Who will be there 4:30pm while they reopen at 5pm. Fine we start sharp 6pm and they repeated told us someone is taking our table so they urged us to order asap. When we left sharp 7.30pm and no one is there as well as no reservation details put on the table. I can understand you want to have second or third round but you don’t have to keep reminding us as we will be understanding to leave immediately if next round customer come or when we finished our food. We went on bloody week day SS2 jam not typical busy weekend.
