I've got to do a shoutout for Mei by Fatspoon. This place is absolutely precious! They've got a killer menu that never let us down. We're talking Mentaiko Pasta, Avocado Fried Chicken, Guac + Ikura and anll the awesome rice bowls that are just out of this world.

But let me tell you about my personal favorite – the aMEIzing Don. This dish is a masterpiece with Teriyaki ox tongue, scallops, engawa, ikura, and avocados. Every bite is like a flavor explosion, seriously a tongue-tingling adventure.

Their Mentaiko Pasta is another gem – creamy, flavorful, and just the right kind of indulgence. Also not forgetting to mention, the ox tongue rice bowls? Happiness in every bite!

The value you get for the price is incredible. Portions are generous and every dish feels like it’s worth way more. They've got some great vegetarian options too – And those Cempedak Spring Rolls aka mode? A hot and cold dessert combo that's a total game-changer. A must order!

The place has a cool, relaxed vibe. Comfy seating perfect for hanging out or even doing a bit of work. It's clean, inviting, and the staffs are the best – ever so friendly and attentive.

Party size: 3 (pre-lunch setting) Reservations: Easy - just a phone call. Professionally handled. But when we arrived, there was no table reserved under my name. It was OK since there were tables available.

Food quality: Good. Tasty without being overly salty. Speed: fast enough. Toilet: Clean, has toilet tissue and handwash Ordering: Efficient - fill in the form with code numbers. Waiter could answer our questions.

Service level is why I did not rate it a 5 star. Here are some tips: When bringing the food to the table, pause and ask who ordered it. Then walk over to the person and place it in front of that customer. Don't stretch over the table to serve the food/drink. Don't place the food or drink at any random corner of the table and expect customers to move it to the right person. This is a small table only. When the customer moves the dish towards her (since it's placed in front of the wrong customer), don't give her a fierce stare SMILE

Got my food delayed again and it is frustrating as it happens so many times. Feels worse when your lunch mates have finished over half their meal and you have to constantly check if your order is coming through.

Asked the water if the order is coming only to be told to wait a couple of minutes. What would help is just some honesty. Nothing wrong with apologising and saying that the order was misplaced and forgotten and that they're working on it.

But no, no apologies given. When the food comes, it's just dropped on the table in a nonchalant manner. Definitely a lot of room for improvement here.
