This is my second time here and it would be my final visit to PoPo. Since you do not address the issue and do not take customer feedback on Google seriously, despite the fact that many customers have complained about the same issue, you do not deserve any stars.
I cannot emphasise enough that being in service line means caring for your customers even if you had a bad day at work. Avoid making such a long face and being rude. Without your customers, you are nothing.
I politely asked the manager at the counter if we could move to a different table, and you, as the manager, gave me a cold stare and said, "table is reserved. up to you la if you want to move" and blinked at me unpleasantly. I was taken aback by his poor attitude but I brushed it off and told myself “perhaps, he’s just having a bad day.”
Once we were done with our dinner, my bro went to pay for it at the counter. The same manager refused to look my bro in the eye and simply placed the bill on the table without uttering a word. He didn't even thank my brother for making the payment. Nothing. As if we owed him hundreds of millions of dollars. What a joke!
Dude, did we offend you in any way? Is that how you treat your customers differently when they can't speak Mandarin vs the ones who can? So, knowing Mandarin means you're smarter and better than everyone else? I have friends who can only speak Mandarin but they don't behave like that and are the humblest people ever. Don't ruin other people's moods by being moody. Would you like it if a waitress or manager at a restaurant treated you the same way when you dine out? Nobody deserves that.
Boo. Shame on you. You may own a business but poor manners and attitude will not...

We truly find it mind-boggling that in this day and age with so much emphasis on customer-centricity, such audacious customer service still exists.
There were a few instances where PoPo Hotpot failed to establish themselves as a restaurant that cared about their patrons:
Server mixed up our orders and cut us off mid sentence rather impatiently when we tried to correct our orders Signature Pork Bone Soup was not readily available during dinner hours - server made us wait for the soup refill because ‘the kitchen needed to cook the soup’ Server offered no ‘Welcome’, ‘Thank You’, or ‘Come Again’ Not only did the bill take 15 minutes and 2 requests to be sent to our table, the restaurant did not bother to inform us that the card terminal was down. The restaurant also offered no solution of any kind when they told us the card terminal was down, only answer we got was ‘to wait’. Service was slow although the place was not too busy when we dined there
The food was alright, but not spectacular enough to warrant another visit unless they improve on their...
Read moreEver since the branch in Kepong got burnt down, we've been coming to this outlet to satisfy our hotpot needs.
Again, I wish I could tell you this place was bad and you're better off not coming, just so it wouldn't get crowded, but the reality is the soup is phenomenal. ABC is my favorite! the portions of vegetables are large and you don't need much to get full their home made meatballs, especially the prawn, is a must have! their fried dumplings(?) suijiao is fantastic, i can easily down 3 plates on my own the condiments are fresh and really do compliment the flavors
Now, the boss is super friendly, we even chatted up once when it wasn't too busy. Back at the Kepong branch, there was an aunty who was so friendly and welcoming! I've not seen her since covid started, but was told by the boss that she's doing fine.
Service is really good too, they're so willing to accommodate each and every need, I sometimes feel bad asking for too much, but they...
