This is an excellent place for private dining with friends n family . The private rooms are very cozy n comfortable. This ambience is suitable for great reunions with friends n family members too. The food is yummy n the taste is really exquisite , very different from the usual Cantonese cuisine served by other Cantonese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur n Petaling Jaya. They dare to recreate n innovate a sort of fusion with various ingredients normally used in all Cantonese cuisine. It’s quite amazing with their creations - a sight to behold as well as the great taste in their new creations. We were totally amazed by the beauty of the desserts that evening- the dessert looks like a purplish mangosteen from the outside. But with our first bite, it’s not what it looks like. It’s so crunchy on the outside but the inside is so full of flavourful - being filled with yam n dedicated coconut. It all tasted so heavenly - a combination no one could imagine possible yet so so very yummy n unforgettable . We all loved the dessert. The abalone was ok except that it should be cooked slightly longer to make it softer. The fish soup was a bit fishy once it’s cooled down. How about putting more pepper when boiling it? Every other dishes were tasty . The price was a bit steep. I guess this is the price we got to pay for such fine dining in such a cost n private room - served by the waiters who portioned out every dish all the time for all of us. Every thing n every comfort comes with a price tag. Anyway we were all happy to having dined there- a truly...
Read moreCame here for a friend's wedding banquet. Ambience is nice and cosy, and the banquet food was very good and food presentation was elegant... Perhaps one of the best in town. For casual/normal dining, food and service are both good.
However, the temporary waiters hired for the event performed TERRIBLY - the dishes (main dish & guests' dishes) were cleared away before each dish could even be finished without warning/asking guests. Also, this was the first time I've seen the staff start stripping off the tablecloths, stacking chairs and folding tables BEFORE the wedding guests had left - close to 60% of the guests were still seated, and this was at 9.45pm. Overall gives guests a feeling as though the restaurant is trying to chase people out as quickly as they can. Imagine, as the bride and groom are standing by the entrance to see guests off, restaurant staff are busy carting chairs and tables, passing in between the guests/family.
Note to management: if you are reading this, good job on the food and ambience, however kindly try to improve training/etiquette for your temp staff.. Previous occasions attending similar functions at your venue have not had such a...
Read moreRestaurant sits within Plaza33. May need to spiral a few floors up to find parking as most at lower floors are reserved lots. Restaurant was rather quiet during lunch time, while service staff was attentive perhaps because it wasnt a busy day. A rather classy setup as compared to its sister outlet at Jaya33 next door. Cooking was done nicely without being too salty or oily. Enjoyed the spinach beancurd and egg noodles with soon hock fish & bittergourd. Buddha jump over the wall came with a good assortment of premium ingredients and a light flavoursome broth. Roast pork was appetizer size, served with a good ratio of fat to meat & had a crunchy crackling. The cheesebaked crab shell contained some bits of crab meat, water-chestnut, mushroom, ham held together in a creamy 'carbonara-like' sauce topped with cheese & breadcrumbs. Felt it was so-so only. Pricing is generally on the higher end of the scale but they serve up a pretty good range and...
