Oktober's Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

My visit to Oktober was quite disappointing. The fries were severely overcooked, almost to the point of being inedible. The portion of fish and chips for $28.90 was not only small but also failed to redeem the overall poor quality of the meal. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my unsatisfactory experience. To add to my disappointment, it was evident that the oil used to fry the fries had been recycled numerous times. As a regular customer, encountering such a practice is unacceptable, making this one of the worst dining experiences I've had at Oktober. Firstly, very happy to see more food establishments in Ara. Live music song selection was nice, but catered for Chinese speakers. Nothing German about this bar FYI. Food selection is predominantly Asian cuisine (fried rice, char kuey teow, some plain tasting spaghetti)

PRICING quite high, 1 pint of beer is RM20++. Mostly local beer served (Carlberg, Guinness, 1664). Food also was expensive, about RM25 average. Food quality needs to be improved, very mediocre taste (bland, too oily, etc.). Portion was just nice.

I won’t give any stars at all. I walked into a bar which is not full - more than enough staff to customers. In fact, as I walked in, a staff saw me - a total stranger walking in and got seated but no one attended to me. My friends were otw and I walked out, bringing our plans else where. Dissapointed as its a neighbourhood bar but I guess they can pick and choose their customers. Well that’s how it felt. It’s also not the first bad experience, first one and second one was bad too because of one particular waiter - now the sickness got to another...
