To be honest I didn't know much about this outlet but since trying it once we have been there 3 times and surprisingly satisfied with the food and service everytime. The prices were reasonable too.
For a resturant that focuses on Malaysian food, their western dishes look good. So we tried their Italian carbonara and we loved it. It was as good as the ones we could get at the hotels. I also love their bruschetta mushroom side dish. Thats warm crispy bruschetta with mushroom on top and a dash of the same carbonara sauce. It worked for me.
Subsequently I tried their Chicken curry rice and got another surprise! The curry had a certain taste that was lost since my chilhood days! I haven't had that taste for years and I have tried curry at many different places in Malaysia. That was a pleasant surprise for me.
Their drinks were good as well; the teh tarik, coconut shake etc. They have a wide array of food and drinks that can satisfy most cravings. I am happy I...
Read moreGreat choices of drinks. I would think this is a drinks cafe more than a food place. A great variety of food choices but somehow it wasn't good. The waiter was pretty honest though. He said that the portion is adjusted. It looked obviously bigger and more in the menu but what came would be half of it.
We order the buttermilk fish again, it was pricey, small as warned and didn't taste like it should. We couldn't understand why the ee mee was more bihun than mee. The other 2 were deep fried chicken and some ham. The ham weren't grilled. Kinda below expectation for the food but the drinks were good.
Good is perhaps 2-3 stars, drinks is 4 stars..
Service, I give it 5 stars for the waiter that served us. He was truthful that my coconut shake was 'factory' made thus it can't go very wrong 😅.
Ambience, I had no issues, well ventilated as it opened out to the...
Read moreNot been to 3 Damansara in awhile. Much has changed. Read reviews on most food places here and decided to have dinner at Papa’s Cafe. Forgot to take pics, but we ordered Claypot Curry Chicken Laksa (looked like menu pic) and Special Fried Glass Noodle (also came looking like menu pic). The food looks like the pics in the menu, which is a welcome surprise! No expectation-scamming here. Food tasted really good, especially the glass noodle. Very generous portions of ingredients. The sambal that accompanies this is superb! Only 1 negative comment is about the yellow mee in the curry laksa. It wasn’t great. Meehoon was superb tho. We ordered mix of mee and meehoon. We also had red bean chendol. Awesome!! Wasn’t too sweet, and the texture of the ice was consistent and soft. Really enjoyed our meal here....
