Had a satisfying time dining here! Menu is legit and service is attentive. Went on a weekday for dinner. We were a party of 4 and had a great time dining here for a birthday meal. The place was bustling and had people from all walks of life eating there.
ENVIRONMENT: The place is simply yet nicely decorated with beautiful Turkish lamps and Turkish dining ware on display. The restaurant is brightly lit and airy, not stuffy. They've got bright blue & white walls and large mirrors on one wall which adds to the illusion of spaciousness, yet somehow is able to maintain a certain level of coziness. Diners also have the option of dining indoors or semi-outdoors patio area. Pretty comfortable dining environment overall.
SERVICE: As for service, have a large number of FOH staff on deck the whole time we were there, so service is very attentive and fast and friendly. Their main chef also took the time to stop by each table to say hello, and check in on us as well as have a brief conversation with us telling us about his love for malaysia and durians haha. We enjoyed the warm hospitality provided by him and his staff, which definitely added a nice touch to our experience there.
FOOD: We ordered the Mezze platter, the Mixed Kebab Platter, a Lahmacun for the four of us to share, and topped off our meal with an order each of baklava with ice cream, and a kunefe. Also had two pots of turkish tea to share between the 4 of us and a glass of pomegranate juice. Total bill came up to about RM280. We were beyond stuffed after the meal and were in a food coma!
Everything was delicious, definitely recommend the mezze and kebab platters. They both feed 3-5 people for sure. My personal favorite was the mezze and the flatbread that they served with it. I could eat it all day! Lahmacun is a super thin flatbread topped with meat, delicious and definitely a Turkish dish to try but I thought it wasn't mind blowing good, though good option to have for the table to fill you up. The kebabs in the kebab platter were tasty, though I wished they could be a little more generous with the rice portions. For those who do not like lamb/goat/mutton, one or two of the meats could be a little gamey. But otherwise if that's not an issue for you, everything was perfect!
As for dessert, their staff were promoting their baklava which is why we got it but I personally loved their kunefe a lot more! Definitely recommend leaving room to order dessert! Note that the ice cream add on has extra charges, I believe it's turkish style (chewy-er) ice cream that they use too.
All in all, we loved their breads and combinations of food and their platters. Their Turkish tea pairs well with all their dishes for sure. And their desserts are superb as well. All that plus the good service, makes this a truly enjoyable place to dine. Would recommend!
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: ▪️Check on their Instagram for latest updates or news, and to access their menu. They definitely do a good job keeping up their social media game and branding. ▪️They don't seek to have a WhatsApp for contact but very responsive to phone calls for reservations which I highly recommend making ▪️Restaurant doesn't have their own restrooms, will have to use the ones in the mall or the ones just a few steps away to the side of...

Today had the pleasure of dining at Turkish Cafe Istanbul in Glo Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing and tasty breakfast experience.
From the moment we stepped into the cafe, we were warmly welcomed by the chef himself. His genuine hospitality and passion for Turkish cuisine set the tone for a memorable dining experience. It was evident that he takes great pride in sharing his culinary creations with patrons, and it made us feel truly special.
The chef took the time to personally recommend some of his signature dishes, and we gladly followed his suggestions. We could tell that he put his heart and soul into every dish that came out of the kitchen.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! It was simply delightful. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious Turkish breakfast options, and my companions and I had a tough time deciding what to order. From the moment our plates arrived, we knew we were in for a treat.
The presentation was impeccable, with vibrant colors and enticing aromas. Each dish was a work of art, carefully prepared and bursting with flavors. The traditional Turkish flavors shone through in every bite, a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication.
One standout dish was the Menemen, a traditional Turkish-style scrambled eggs with tomatoes, peppers, and spices. It was a harmonious blend of flavors, perfectly cooked and served with freshly baked bread. Another highlight was the Sucuklu Yumurta, a dish that featured eggs cooked with succulent Turkish sausage. The combination was heavenly, and the flavors danced on my palate.
Not only were the main dishes exceptional, but the accompanying sides and condiments elevated the experience even further. The olives were plump and briny, the cheeses were creamy and rich, and the freshly brewed Turkish tea was a delightful accompaniment to our meal.
Throughout our breakfast, the chef continued to ensure that we were enjoying our experience. He checked in on us, shared stories about the origins of certain dishes, and made us feel like we were part of the Turkish Cafe Istanbul family.
In conclusion, my companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast experience at Turkish Cafe Istanbul. The food was beyond delicious, the ambience was inviting, and the service, personally led by the chef, was exceptional. If you're looking for an authentic Turkish breakfast in Kuala Lumpur, this is the place to be. I cannot recommend Turkish Cafe Istanbul highly enough. Visit and indulge in a culinary journey that will leave you craving for more!

Conclusion - I HAD A BLAST!!!
If not for Axian's TV showcasing different types of cuisine available in Malaysia, I would not have got to know about this awesome Turkish cuisine located in Glo Damansara. I passed by this road quite frequently but I'd never paid attention to what's inside the mall.
Turkish Cafe Istanbul is visible from the main road and located near the main entrance of Gko Damansara. I thought that it was safe to walk-in without any reservation - I was so dead wrong. They were packed to the brim but lucky for us, there was a table available until 8.30pm.. we were told. Since it was only 7pm when we arrived, we agreed to quickly eat before the next diners arrived.
◾Mixed Kebab Platters RM98.90 - swerved on a steel platter consisted of 5 types of kebab namely Adana Kebab - chicken and lamb; Beef Sis Kebab; Kofte (lamb); and chicken thigh kebab. Served with grilled vegetables and Mandy rice. A good way to sample most of the grilled meat - and everything was done competently. I didn't eat beef so no comment but for everything else, I love them! ◾Extra Mandy Rice - just because the rice on the platter were not enough, a testament on how good, soft and flavourful due to the usage of various spices to cook the basmati rice. ◾Mixed appetisers RM32.90 - 5 typres were given which were hummus, patlican soslu, spicy tomato meze, green beans and eggplant dip. What a great way to taste many types of Turkish appetiser at the same time. Meze is considered appetiser and cold starter that is shared among the table and consist of vastly wide variations of vegetables, greens, pulses, pastes, yoghurts and cheese. Cleaned up in no time by the hungry and curious pack. ◾Spicy Adana chicken kebab RM28.90 - popular skewered dish names after one of the most famous kebab cities called Adana in Turkey. Served with fries on the side. ◾Tomato soup - the young ones didn't know how to appreciate this version although they like tomato soup. Perhaps it was a matter of preference. ◾Baklava with ice cream sandwiched in between was such a perfect ending for the lovely dinner. Order this...
In short, Turkish cuisine is very similar to Middle Eastern food but there are something uniquely Turkish. I am glad that I made my way here. Even the kids who initially said that they were not that hungry, ate more than they should.
The dishes were served quite fast and all the servers were trained to be very efficient - from seating the guests, take orders, serve and also clean up empty plates 🤣 - under the watch of a very friendly manager.
Reservation is highly...
