PJ hills restaurant at sec 11 PJ used to be one of the most favourite restaurant around that neighborhood for many diner's..but for now,I don't think so.
The reason:- 1.Lack of dedicated staff's, especially while dining,no one bothers to serve a glass of water even after complaints ( cashier guy only good for counting the cash, most of the time) doesn't even care about if the tables are cleaned, water served or what not ( No professional ethics)
I used to be a regular during lunch hours in this restaurant but not anymore now... hardly seen the owner in the premises.
The staff used to bill you once after you have selected the dishes by self-service,comes to your table then gives a piece of paper with the random price ( No proper bill ) once done he will be at the nextdoor 7eleven entrance smoking 🚬 😅
If I have to appreciate anyone with dedication here...I would probably say the senior citizen Indian uncle who serves the rice for you and another one is the aunty who serves drinks and papadam ( oh yeah, papadam used to be free till few months ago but now it is RM 1 for the crushed papadams 😅
Over all,it's time for the business owner to make regular visits and train his staffs what's customer service is...I really wonder if he or she knows what's a customer service in food...
Read moreHorrendous experience today. Ordered 2 servings of tandoori and it took ages to arrive despite it being ready from the tandoori oven (placed on the workstation, nobody serving it). Waiter served made multiple trips between the workstation and our table. First he served one plate, rushed back for the other, and again when we asked why tandoori was being served without sauce. Finally served us but omitted cutlery (and none of the tables had cutlery inside a container for us to self-service).
Now. Dinner's over. Tandoori was mediocre - dry and poorly marinated, but the sauce that we asked for gave both of us mild food poisoning (I stopped eating it when I detected a peculiar sourness to it, but too late! Had one or two bites).
I have a high tolerance to bad service, because usually the quality of the food balances things out but PJ Hills managed to screw up both, with an added bonus of food poisoning. So here I am. 1 star rating. Too bad 0 is...
Read moreFirst time here. We saw the crowd and in we went.
Food tasted surprisingly good! We ordered Roti Sardine & Tosai. The dishes lacked in presentation but we really liked the roti texture. It was soft and not like most roti we get - hard and chewy. The chutney & Vada were also yummy.
Drinks wise - kurang manis was still really manis. The only Roti/ banana leaf rice places we’ve been to that understands what kurang manis is, has been Bala’s and Yarl. Everywhere else we go, the drinks folks normally just ignores our request for less sweet 🤦🏻♀️
Price wise - I only saw the poor reviews about their prices after we dined there. I actually didn’t ask how much each item was. But the price did seem a little more than what we would have paid at Kanna Curry House.
Would we come back?...
