Q Bistro @ Lotus's Mutiara Damansara — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Usually go for roti canai, maggi goreng and teh tarik. Quite satisfied with the food which I would be ok with giving 5 stars, BUT the staff should be HONEST, which did not happen yesterday, which is why only a 3-star rating.

One drink we ordered was a VANILLA milk shake. Later, a waiter came and claimed that that was out of stock and suggested a STRAWBERRY milk shake instead. However, we asked for a chocolate milk shake as an alternative. The waiter claimed this was also unavailable and again suggested the strawberry milk shake. Not in the mood for vanilla, we just asked for the unavailable vanilla milk shake to just be cancelled. Surprisingly, about 10 minutes later, the waiter came to us with a vanilla milk shake, our original order. We were taken aback since they had said it was out of stock. Then he admitted that they had mistakenly made a strawberry milk shake instead of vanilla one! No wonder he had earlier also claimed that chocolate was out of stock; to cover up their mistake!

Now, if there was such an error, the first step should have been just to admit to the customer that a mistake had been made. Some of us are actually willing to 'help' out and just take it, no real harm done. But to attempt to 'trick' the customer this way, due to the staff error in making the wrong drink, sorry, this is not the way to do business. I do believe that the staff should not be punished by management for such an error, but should be taught to be HONEST to the customer.

Again, the food has been great, and I will likely still go there again, but the only blemish was this attempted trick by the staff on a customer.

Edit: I've been back many times to eat here since the above incident and all has been good. So now, amending...

They have many branches, and this particular branch is located inside Tesco Mall The Curve, hence this is a very strategic place to enjoy decent mamak food. The choices on the menu are plenty, from roti canai to tandoori to nasi campur and "goreng goreng".

A decent place to hangout and spend time with family and friends while enjoying the marvellous foods. The price is reasonable, the place is well maintained and clean. The ambiance was bustling yet cozy, with friendly staff members eager to guide me through the menu.

In addition to the exceptional food, the service here was top-notch. The staff members were attentive and knowledgeable, offering recommendations and ensuring that each diner's experience was nothing short of delightful.

Overall, Q Bistro exceeded my expectations in every way. From the authentic flavours to the warm hospitality, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Nasi Kandar experience. I will certainly be returning to indulge in more of their culinary delights. Ayam Q is my favorite!!

So, my husband and me keep visiting this place often. It is easily accessible from the Mutiara Damansara MRT station. The ambience is not too fancy but very comfortable and friendly!! The staff is courteous and you can customize your menu too!! It is a family place and their smoking zone is outside the restaurant, which makes it comfortable for families/non smokers. They serve a veriety of veg and non veg food. Food is hygeinic and delicious. They have take away facility. It is pocket friendly. We have had many dishes here like nasi kandar, nasi lemak, poori bhaaji, dosa, roti canai, nasi goreng, mee goreng, ayam goreng, biryani, squid fry, etc... Teh tarik is their signature drink. Lemongrass mojito and pineapple juice are my fav!!! Whenever we go to this place, we are never disappointed. Highly recommneded!!...
