S31 Happy Lucky Restaurant — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

This is the only remaining Chinese restaurant in this old NZX commercial complex at Ara Damansara. All the others have either closed or moved their businesses elsewhere.

Although the eatery is located in an obscure part of the vast complex, it still manages to garner a fair amount of positive reviews. One have actually to drive around the back of the building complex in order to locate the restaurant.

BBQ pork & chicken rice looks to be most popular here. Other choices includes; pork noodles, curry mee, mixed rice, pan mee, claypot noodles, char-koay-teow, wanton noodles and Thai food.

With limited seating indoors the shop owners have cleverly converted the broad passage-way at the shop exterior for seating - with proper roofing to shield diners from the elements.

Ample above ground parking around the complex surroundings, as well as, the under utilized underground covered parking are a boon for those who choose...

Update. Sunday 17 Jan 2021. We dropped by this place to order takeaway curry laksa and other noodle meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner in one go. The lady boss inform us we can now order our meals (including Satay!) via WhatsApp and collect later. (See photos attached.)

This eatery is the first corner modern kopitiam on the right hand side of one of the main entrance to the NZX complex. It also operates a convenient store at a store right across the main road. It has a regular indoor seatings and a sizeable outdoor seating area. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and supper are available here. Several stalls caters for breakfast and lunch crowds. Rm 20 each container , total cost for this two =rm 40. The lady told me one of the container got more” brocolli + meat “ dish an another one slight less so one rm 12, another rm 8 for that particular dish( which I can’t tell much difference ), the other meat dishes in container she make it a whole number to me so added up rm 20 each .
