Seven spice kitchen — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Came here today at 3pm, after lunch hours. I had rice, black pepper chicken and ikan bilis sambal. My friend had rice, cabbage, chicken varuval. We mixed and matched the curry.

Chicken varuval was a bom! Spicy & rich in flavour. Chicken meat was fresh. Black pepper chicken was great too. Whoever doesnt prefer spicy, can opt for this. So much flavour. Ikan bilis sambal was medium spicy and tasted more like sardine sambal but i liked the taste. The curries were great! Personally love the ventiyam curry & rasam. Most of all, a very reasonable price. Worth the money spent. RM23 FOR BOTH OF US. Staffs were humble & hospitable.

Recommendations: The cabbage needs to be more cooked because it was raw and hard. Papadam needs to be kept in an airtight container because it was paperlike. Improve the ventilation. The environment inside the restaurant was too hot. Both of us were sweating...

Had an RM13 awesome lunch today at this clean, air conditioned place consisting of half portion indian rice, their signature sura meen (shark fish) curry and stir fried spinach. The shark fish cooked with healthy fenugreek, turmeric and bhindi in thick tomato puree curry was so succulent and top fresh. I've never tasted thick shark fish curry this good before. The rasam (vegetarian) is rich in tamarind and I also rate this as a 10. The beverages here are freshly made and mesmerising. Their RM2 signature teh tarik after a meal is a must. The evening RM1 crispy vadai after 4pm is simply divine and melts in the mouth. Their chicken dishes whether varuval, pratal curry or fried are all mouth watering. Definitely coming...

They’ve got a variety of Indian cuisines, we ordered the clay pot chicken and mutton. It was delicious and the quantity was more than enough for two people. Was spicy enough for spice lovers and the kitchen is willing to dial down the spice on request if you like less spicy food.
