really bad customer service. I came in today and ordered two cold brew lattes and a pepperoni bagel.
Despite saying I am dining in, I waited at my table for 15 minutes and got up to check. I then asked the waitress to help clean my table as there were crumbs and no one had cleaned it for 15 minutes. She didn’t look happy, and she wiped my table once, before asking what I ordered as she noticed I hadn’t got my food yet. I repeated my order and she immediately brought it from the counter, sitting in takeaway carriers and the bagel in a paper bag. I was hoping she would get my message as I was sitting at the table, and she didn’t look pleased when I repeated that I am dining in. She took my bagel and the cream cheese package container and put it in a small plate which can’t even fit both sides of the bagel open faced (for me to apply the cream cheese inside, since they did not apply it for me as it should have been applied for dining in bagels). Again, she was not pleased when I asked for this and also asked for the bagel to be reheated as it was cold from sitting in the takeaway pouch on the counter. In the end, I finally got my hot bagel on the plate, and could finally apply the cream cheese myself (since they didn’t offer to apply it for dine in) to eat it.
Honestly I don’t know why I am even playing the service tax :/ the drinks were alright, but this really...
Read moreThe staff member at the counter, Syafinaz, was cold, rude, and dismissive. Barely made eye contact and seemed uninterested in serving. I mentioned an add-on to my order and, to ensure she heard me, I said it clearly and waited for acknowledgment. There was none. When I reminded her because only the drink showed up on the screen, she didn’t respond, instead, she raised her hand ✋🏻 to my face without even looking at me.
The lack of basic courtesy, like eye contact or acknowledgment, already sets a bad tone. But the hand gesture? It’s dismissive and demeaning and in a service role, where warmth and respect matter, it really reflects poorly on both the individual and the outlet....
Read moreThe Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Jaya 33 has a fresh, cozy atmosphere and decent drinks, especially worth it with credit card deals like Buy 1 Free 1.
Unfortunately, the service is consistently poor and seems to be getting worse. Even the staff with a Cafe Supervisor tag ignore customers at the counter, making you wait without any greeting or eye contact. This has happened multiple times, and the lack of basic courtesy really brings down the whole experience. The drinks are fine, but the service needs serious attention. I don’t believe CBTL stands for this kind of service—it clearly doesn’t reflect the brand’s usual mission...
