I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oiso Korean Restaurant at PJ33 Plaza, and my experience was truly memorable. I would rate it 4 stars based on several aspects of the visit.
Ambiance (4/5): The restaurant boasts a cozy and welcoming ambiance. It's not too big, but the intimate setting adds to the charm. The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
Food (4/5): The food at Oiso Korean Restaurant is authentic and delicious. I had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes, from classic bibimbap to mouthwatering bulgogi. The flavors were on point, and the presentation was appetizing. The menu offers a good selection of Korean cuisine, catering to different tastes.
Service (4/5): The staff at Oiso Korean Restaurant is friendly and attentive. They are knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to provide recommendations. The service was prompt, and our requests were met with a smile. I appreciate the level of care they put into their service.
Price (4/5): The pricing is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. It's not the most budget-friendly option, but it's well worth it for the experience and the taste. Plus, the restaurant offers some value-for-money set meals.
Location (4/5): PJ33 Plaza is easily accessible, and the restaurant's location is convenient for both locals and visitors. Whether you're in the area for business or leisure, Oiso Korean Restaurant is a great spot to satisfy your Korean food cravings.
In summary, Oiso Korean Restaurant at PJ33 Plaza is a fantastic place to indulge in authentic Korean cuisine. While I rate it 4 stars, it's important to note that the experience can vary based on individual preferences. Nonetheless, it's a must-visit for Korean food enthusiasts looking for a delightful dining experience. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their...
Read moreWent with my family last weekend. The drawback of dining in this OISO branch is that you can only refill the ban chan (side dishes) ONCE, which is absurd as the beauty of dining in a Korean restaurant is their unlimited refill of side dishes. The amount of each side dish served was about a spoonful (which I totally understand as they want to prevent wastage). But, LIMITING customer to refill the side dishes ONCE (cheap side dishes were served by the way - i.e., bean sprout, spinach & kimchi.. not even anchovies) is really a put-off as the meal is not cheap at all! :) Rice didn't taste like authentic Korean rice. Will NOT RETURN to this branch again.
If you're looking to try out OISO, I would advise you to visit other OISO branches (the one in The Curve or The Sphere) which they offered unlimited refill of side dishes during my visits (they served anchovies as one of their side dishes) :) Food quality & ventilation in The Curve and The Sphere are way better than this branch as well.

Read moreIf you crave no-frills Korean food, this is one good place to go to. This is a chain restaurant but I have only been to this outlet and any chance I have, I will dine here. I understand their ingredients are halal and there's plenty of Malay clientele frequenting this place. You might also find the motherly ajumma (아줌마) or "auntie" who is probably the mom of this outlet's owner, who often helps around the restaurant and you might chance on her when she refills your banchan (반찬) or side dishes. That really adds to the homely kind of feeling when you get that kind of love. My personal favourite is always the janchi kuksu (잔치국수), traditionally a hearty bowl of wheat noodles in anchovy broth (maybe even konbu) with seaweed, generous amounts of zucchini and clams. I also recommend their saba set, beautifully grilled mackerel (really!) that goes well with rice, and their kimchi steamboat (dinner and weekends only). Please try the saba and you will know what I mean. For the reasonable price they are charging, it's worth it.
