A Meat Lover’s Paradise at Tipsy Boar
Visited Tipsy Boar for a Christmas dinner with a friend, and it was a delightful experience! We indulged in their Memphis BBQ ribs, Sarawak pepper ribs, Spanish pork steak, and a salad. The Memphis BBQ ribs stood out with their tender, smoky flavor—absolutely delicious and highly recommended! The salad was a pleasant surprise, with its balsamic dressing adding a perfect tangy touch.
If you’re a meat lover, this is definitely the place to be. Their menu is filled with porky delights, and they even offer group dining options like the Signature Pork Knuckles and Porchetta Loaf, which require pre-ordering.
The restaurant has been operating for six years, and it’s clear they’ve perfected their craft. It’s a casual dining spot with a welcoming vibe, and the owner is friendly and accommodating. While the kitchen closes at 9 pm, the restaurant remains open until 10 pm—perfect for a relaxed evening.
Bonus: They have another branch at Tropicana Mall in Kota Damansara, so there’s more than one way to enjoy their offerings. Highly recommend this gem for its fantastic food, warm ambiance, and...
Read moreThis has been our go to place for delicious porky goodness for a few years now. Their menu is simple and so is the interior of the place. This is not a bad thing as it exudes a friendly & comfortable neighbourhood vibe. The proprietress Tsun Yee is always friendly and welcoming.
We have tried most of the items in their menu and there is 1 dish that calls me back again & again. That dish is the Skillet Rice! A rice dish bathed in homemade tomato sauce and cooked with sausage, bacon & parmesan makes it the ultimate comfort food. On their menu, Skillet Rice is hidden in the 2nd page top right corner under the category of rice.
Our other favourites here are the Full Boar Burger, Spanish Pork Steak, Sizzling Sisig Rice and Muruku Chicken Poppers.
They also have some frozen items (burger patty, scotch egg & etc) for you to buy back.
They are located on the same road as 2 very famous restaurant (Kanna Curry House & Strangers At 47), so do have some patience looking for parking if you are coming during peak lunch hours.
We are already planning our next trip here with some family...
Read moreDelicious porky goodness is the name of the game in this intimate, cosy restaurant. Expect ribs, pork knuckle, sausages, sisig, pork steak, schnitzel and many more. Fear not, there are pasta and chicken options should you not be in the mood for anything porcine.
We had the Spanish pork steak (2 large pieces) and the pork schnitzel which were expertly cooked using lean, high quality cuts. There is the option to add on 2 side dishes for an extra RM 10. I chose the Mint Yoghurt Watermelon salad and their thinly-sliced home made chips (actually crisps!). I heartily recommend the salad which was a pleasant, refreshing contrast to my schnitzel. The home made chips/crisps were enjoyable too, being neither too salty nor oily but had lost a bit of their crunchiness due to air exposure presumably.
The proprietress is really friendly and makes you feel at home, ever ready to assist with any questions you may have about the food.
This restaurant heartily deserves your custom so why not support this small, local business by trying their...
