4 stars are for the friendly staff and good service, and also the environment.
1 star lost for the foods I ordered. The name I forgot, but it is just placed on the 1st picture at the noodles selection page. I've been informed no more ramen served and have replaced with udon or soba.
I asked for soba, noodles and sa sao taste alright, but the soup are too salty. I used to love miso soup, but this one is over. I can't even finished the soup.
I ordered Chawan mushi too(steamed egg), but it too watery at the bottom, if you often eat at the much more Higher standard Japan restaurant in KK, you will know what I mean. But, as a average standard restaurant, The food price is quite reasonable and the standard can be acceptable to compliance with its price. Don't expected more on the standard for this price.
I've ordered Ebikko sushi too. So So standard, but at least better than Sushi King's Ebikko. This one the seaweed wrap don't stick on the rice enough, caused falling of the eggs while I pick up using my chopsticks. The eggs a little dry, but tasted okay.
I didn't order sashimi, so i not sure about the freshness and quality. For now I have no intention to go back again. Hopefully the standard will raise next...
Read moreWe’ve visited this place many times with my brother — the food is great! Highly recommend the onsen tamago gyu teri don — I could finish the large portion all by myself 🤣
On the other hand, I’ve tried two versions of the chicken rice bowl, and both times found the chicken a bit dry. A small portion is enough. One time we came as a family, and they happened to be out of beef, so we went with the staff’s recommendation and got the large chicken bowl… ended up regretting it halfway through — it got a bit too heavy and greasy.
My brother, though, really enjoys soul fish set dishes. By the way,Their tempura shrimp is way bigger and tastier compared to another place we know — definitely worth the extra cost!
We’ve brought our family here before and they liked it too 👍 Staff are friendly and service is excellent ❤️
If I had to nitpick, the only downside would be the slightly dim lighting, which made reading the menu a little hard...
Read moreWe came here for dinner on a Saturday. Service was very good, the wait staff were friendly and smiling. We ordered Salmon Skin Shio Set (RM22.90), Tonkotsu Ramen (S) (RM14.90), Tako Suinomono (RM14.90), and Ocha Cold (RM2.50). Prices in the menu do not include SST and 10% service charge, so our total bill was RM64.
The salmon skin set was good, would prefer if the salmon skin came hot. The chawanmushi was nice, so was the rice.
The tonkotsu ramen broth was delicious, though I felt that the alkaline flavour in the noodles was a bit on the stronger side. Overall it was a good bowl of ramen, and quite sufficient even though it's "small".
Tako suinomono was quite appetizing due to the sour taste. It was OK, our initial choice was the salmon salad, but that was not available today.
Overall it was a good dining experience. Not our first time here, will still come...
