Island's Original Café @ ST3 — Restaurant in Sarawak

I've always enjoyed and admire the cakes and pastry here at this littlr cute cafe Islands original. Their cakes are delicious plus uniquely presented. Just recently now I'm very disappointed by their NEW NIGHT STAFF services. I just wanted to take away a slice of cake which i normally do at night. It stated in their business hours closing time is 11pm on Saturdays. At about 10:15pm this unfriendly & unprofessional new staff at this cafe has already preparing to stop taking orders. Saying that they're preparing for closing...!!!! I said Im just doing take away and not dining in. Still this impolite staff at the counter annoyingly refuse to properly attend to me.... until I say that I come here regularly before as your regular customer and even by 1045pm before I can still take away cake orders...!!!!! I think the owner/manager should properly provide TRAINING for this new staff or else the cafe soon might loose businesses...!!!! Just my concern...

A bit crowded ..not suitable if you have a big group.Limited tables and chairs.Drinks were ok .Tarts and cookies were good..eg.fruit tarts,island tarts are good.Now the down side cakes were so-so especially the earl grey cheese cake(where is the tea taste?).And another horrible item was the custard puff..looks good but tasted so bad that no one wanted to eat. Will return but not going to order these 2 items.Staff..only 2 girls working when I went..but...

Nice place and friendly staff but it's really a pain that a nice cafés like this doesn't offer wifi and more plugs for your laptop. It might be an extra cost for a cafe business but it doesn't hurt to have it instead it would benefit the business. Walked around the whole ST3. Found out no cafés having wifi and it's below a hotel which most likely have customers who would want wifi when...
