Li Garden Restaurant (梨苑酒家)） — Restaurant in Sarawak

Very bad dining experience for our family. We had our CNY eve dinner here which we have booked a month ago. We booked the 7.30pm slot and was told we could only go in to the restaurant at 7.15pm. We arrived at 7pm and waited for at least an hour, with limited waiting seats outside the restaurant.

Chopsticks, spoon and sauce plates came in a plastic bag and was left on the table by the waitress. We have to distribute the utensils by ourselves as the restaurant was jam packed with patrons and short of staff. The thing is, though we were given the sauce plates, we never get any sauce nor chopped garlic and chillies.

The first dish, the Yee Sang was just an average. We waited for the sauce for the Yee Sang but only to be told that the sauce has already been added into the Yee Sang. Next, came the shark fin soup which we find it too starchy. No vinegar for the shark fin soup until we requested a few times as the previous staff ignored our request. What's even more disappointing for us was the gaps in between the dishes which took at least 30 mins long. To our dismay, the last dish wasn't served until we asked about it. Same goes to the Peking duck meat when we asked as only the crispy duck skin and wrap have been served. Most dishes were salty. Plates weren't changed not even once. We had to take our own drinks too.

I booked a table for 12, four hours before, when we reach there, we saw there were an activities or ceremony held, and our table reserve (their arrangements) was just same row as the group of peoples who attend their ceremony, we ask for change to other table and they ask back "why cannot sit here ah?" Of course not, that environment was too noisy. Once we enter they never welcome us like look down at us not afford to eat there.

We have 6 kids follow along, we ask for baby chair they straight told us there were no baby chair, then we go around and see only I table got people use 1 baby chair, impossible a high class restaurant only got 1 baby chair, then we saw the manager and ask for it, only she ask the staff go inside and find, and get 1 for us then we ask the staff reason why tell lie there were no baby chair, the staff silent only and also never apologize

Serve the foods, but we self service, we pour the soup by ourself, dessert also, only we I ask for change the plate only they bring the new plate and put on the table but never clean the dirty plate from us, I think most of them no experience or just a student part time job

Foods not nice, not worth, bad service, no toilet inside the restaurant only can use outside toilet, sst charge very high but with poor service and quality, the price also quite expensive.

Conclusion : will never come and will not recommend others to come, ...

Tried here for the first time yesterday. The service was extremely bad especially from the "captains" (the ladies who wear black jackets) and the cashier lady. It took us FOREVER for them to take our orders, no matter how often we tried to call them. They were busy preparing for 2 weddings, however that is not an excuse to ignore us that way. While taking our orders, we wanted to order the pork knuckles & baked cheese prawns and yet the "captain" who took our order (the one in the pics taken by other reviewers) looked down on us and said they were too expensive as if we couldn't afford to pay for those dishes, whereas we've ordered way more expensive dishes in other fine dining and seafood restaurants. Helloo??? She even tossed our food receipt at our table, which was a very rude thing to do to your customers. Thanks to the Chinese-Indonesian waitress, who treated us very kindly and patiently, she deserved 1 star for the service. Additionally, the table was dirty and oily, which can be seen on the surface of the lazy Susan. Luckily, the food was good. The staff should improve their service and their attitude if you want to maintain the business. Overall, it was such a terrible experience and we would NOT want to go...
