Little Oriental Cafe Kuching — Restaurant in Sarawak

Haven't been here for a while, went back recently and omg the food and service was so damn terrible! We ordered Midin, came out is Paku. When we asked the waitress, why is this paku when we ordered Midin, then they explained that their Midin not enough so they mixed with Paku then didn't even tell us and hope we don't notice is it? When we saw the bill, omg still dare charged us full price for the "Midin" at RM18. For those who dont know, paku is a lower priced "cousin" of Midin. If you want to replace midin with paku, you need to let your customers know beforehand and reduce the price to reflect what is served. The pansuh chicken was soooooo salty! Served fried tofu without sauce (which has always been served with chili sauce) then when we asked for the sauce, waitress replied "oh you wanted sauce ka?" Hello! It has always been served with sauce, there should be no need for us to ask for something that comes with the meal.

Tried a few times and gotta say I'm really disappointed. Reunion dinner was the last straw. Tried two kind of noodles previously but it tasted the same. Reunion dinner butter prawn is way overcooked. Noodle is too salty while the sea cucumber soup is tasteless with "a very countable number" of sea cucumber. The cold dish actually included scrambled eggs and sushi. Then there's egg shells in 2 of the dishes. Of all cuisines, the cod fish was the only dish that we find tasty. Worst of all was that the complimentary yee sang actually taste better the rest of the dishes. Reason I gave one star was because the restaurant actually took time to prepare cards for good wishes and because there's the complimentary yee sang. Really hope they will start serving better...

Ordered their Tomato Egg Drop Soup, it taste so disgusting. Its like having the tomato noodles gravy as soup, with extra 10 scoop of sugar. I took quarter of the soup, added more than another half of water, cook with egg, meat, vege, and its still taste sweeter than a coke. it totally horrible, i had to throw the whole thing. Unbelievable such a simple home cook dish many kids can even cook it, and your chef cant event do it. Please go to youtube and search for Tomato Egg Drop Soup, there is hundreds of video and all with the basic recipe, real tomato and no sugar, not using a ketchup and sugar. Seriously need to learn to cook. My first google review...
