The food tastes nice đ˝ď¸, but I had to wait far too long for my Corned Beef Fried Rice with Butter Chicken Fillets about 30 minutes, even though there werenât many customers around.
My friend ordered before me and received his nasi lemak quite fast, which I understand since itâs a popular dish thatâs mostly pre-prepared with just different side dishes or sauces added. That means the kitchen shouldn't have been too busy, right? đ¤
But by the time everyone at my table had finished eating, my food still wasnât ready! What frustrated me the most wasnât the wait, it was the attitude of the staff.
đ I ordered at 12:53 PM. Around 1:10 PM, I followed up with a female staff member who passed by our table. She went to check but didnât give me any update. Fine, I let it slide.
âąď¸ Then around 1:17 PM, I asked a male staff member who was standing nearby. I told him my friends had all finished eating and asked about my food. You know what he said?! He just looked toward the kitchen and pointed, saying the food was readyâbut he didnât even bother to bring it over. He just stood there, with an impolite tone, making me feel like I was expected to go and get the food myself! đ¤
Finally, at around 1:22 PM, I asked another female staff member again. She went to the kitchen, took my plate, added sauce at the front counter, and brought it to me. Throughout the whole process, no one apologised.
Honestly, if your dish takes longer to prepare, at least inform the customer when they order. And if someone follows up after waiting for a long time, respond politely and explain the situation, most customers will understand. But donât treat people rudely.
In conclusion, great food, but very disappointing service experience. I hope this can be improved in...
Read moreWent here for Sarawak Independence day with the promo Lobster nasi lemak but didnât get one because it was first come first serve. :(
I have always wanted to try the food here because of my friendsâ recommendation and finally i did! The food we ordered was Sotong Sambal nasi lemak which cost RM 12 and it was soooooo gooddddddd!! The sotong, the samball it was bussinnn. If in Sarawak language i would say âagi belalakâ. Next, ayam berempah nasi lemak, RM 14. This was recommended by the cashier and I did not regret trying it. The chicken was juicyyy, big, and it taste yummy!!! Makan dengan tangan lagi best ya.
The drinks was expensiveee. My teh o peng was RM 4 when i can get it for RM 2 from outside.
The food and drinks price was more to the expensive side but it was worth the try. I can get this nasi lemak for a lower price and it still taste good.
The environment was ambiance. The seats were limited and the place was a bit small in my pov. For the parking, it was limited depends on your luck. The toilet was really clean in case you need to pass your nature call :)
The service was a bit slow. We received the food quite slow. The staff there was okay. Not friendly but able to help if needed.
Would i ever go here again? Maybe. If i...
Read moreThe food in itself was absolutely amazing. Each component of the meal worked harmoniously eith each other and created true balance. There was no surplus or deficit of anything, as it should be. The sambal itself, in all its genuineness, was spicier than I could hold but thats not a bad thing. Having the daging rendang nasi lemak, it truly was as traditional as it gets.
In terms of service, it was quick, straightforward, and accurate. Although when we went in to take our order, our cashier didn't exactly signify that it was our turn to order so I wasn't really sure if I should approach the cashier or not so maybe thats something to work on but it was very minor.
The ambiance and atmosphere itself was so warm and welcoming, which is something you dont typically get from a semi outdoors cafĂŠ but it truly had a nostalgic kopitiam feel which I loved yet kept to its youthful roots. The colour combination really sold it.
Overall, loved the experience. It's a fantastic place for a good lunch with friends, able to accommodate up to 8 or more at a...
