It is very rare for me to complain. But this is second time I dine-in with Din Tai Fung KLIA. We just arrived from Langkawi at KLIA last night and decided to have dinner at Din Tai Fung. Apparently, the foods are good as always. The services are efficient. Though, I kinda feel racism vibe when I stepped-in the restaurant. The well-dressed guy Thomas was at the front counter. And said to us 'Troli tak boleh bawak masuk ye' in a loud talking way. Of course we knew we can't bulge the trolley inside the restaurant. And my husband was ready to parked the trolley in the designated area. Then, we sat on our table. The service is super fast & efficient. I know this is good. But somehow it doesn't feel like eating in a restaurant. It feels more like eating at hawker stall. I rather eat my food in a relax and calm way. Then, I noticed Thomas spoke very nicely to customers next to us. In a very low tone & in a respectful ways. I went to the counter to pay for our foods. They lady there asked what was my table number which I honestly do not know. I just pointed out where was I sat. Again, Thomas was there. But he just acted like he doesn't care. Anyway, I feel perplexed and confused whether it just me feel this way or I was being treated unfairly. I always dined in at Din Tai Fung KLCC during lunch hour. And never feel this vibe. Even, we went to Dolly Dim Sum and Lai Po Heen to dine in, the treatment were great. I thought Din Tai Fung KLIA will be up to similar standard. Maybe...

Ordered the chicken xiao long bao which was unbelievably good. The soup inside was super delicious and the filling plus the the wrapping also so good. With the black vinegar and soya sauce it was bombb. The temperature of it was perfect. Just hot enough to eat the whole thing in one bite instead of the usual eating way. Sooo good. 1/10

Also ordered the prawn and chicken wontons noodle soup. Wontons were perfect. Noodles were very delicious. Soup was clean tasting and mildly flavored. Very delicious. I think kids would love this lol. And for adults maybe order spicy sauce on the side to jazz it up but even as is it's very good.

Also ordered the Earl grey ice lemon tea which was housemade and delicious.

Finally, I ordered the CHOCOLATE Xiao long bao. Why is no one talking about it ? It's Soo delicious. The chocolate is incredible. A tiny bit doughy but still excellent. Must must must try.

The service was beyond excellent.

Menu and order sheet were on the table when I sat down and immediately after I picked what I wanted they took the sheet. Only 5 mins later my first dish arrived and 5 mins later the other dish. I only spent 30 mins at the restaurant from the moment I sat down till the moment I paid. Highly appreciate it cuz of the urgency at the airport.

10000% recommend.

Thank you for making my final meal in...

First time came to stop by for quick lunch at Din Tai Fung Klia branch, it took almost 10 minutes just to get a seat and it took another 30 minutes for all dishes to be serve maybe because I came at peak time or mybe you guys need to add more staff.....So in love with the Chicken Shrimp dumpling and sweet sour chicken...I always eat dumplings in other restaurant but for the Din Tai Fung branch really fullfill my taste....For me overall for the taste of food just nice but for the price quite expensive ...Still I think it is worth it to spend the money due to the service provided.... I'd like to give my compliment to Mr Fizwan the waiter who serving us...It was in a rather busy state and so many request by the other customers but he keep maintain gave his smile toward everyone and never once show any unpleasant emotions, plus I’m quite impressed when i heard Mr Fizwan served the next table while speaking in chinese language....Anyway good job Din Tai Fung Klia will repeat...

Generally is good.. food is consistent like those in kl. Price slightly higher which is acceptable. Service is prompt . The downside only is super crowded. Not that enjoyable during peak hours.

Din Tai Fung at KLIA1 is a halal certified branch so it does not serve pork. The restaurant is part of the same renowned brand from Taiwan that many consider a must visit. Compared to the Pavilion branch which serves pork dishes the KLIA1 outlet offers a fully halal menu. The variety is impressive ranging from dim sum soups noodles and fried rice to an array of stir fried and à la carte dishes. Prices are on the higher side especially since it is located in the airport but the quality is consistent with Din Tai Fung’s reputation where food is refined well managed and delicious. For the best experience it is recommended to dine with a group and order different dishes to share so you can enjoy a wider range of flavours. Overall I think is a refined dining option at KLIA1 with diverse halal friendly choices excellent taste and top quality food management though expect premium pricing.
