Starbucks KLIA Contact Pier — Restaurant in Sepang

UPDATE: I'm here again on 22nd April to catch a break before flight. This time round, I really saw huge improvement. Store manager standing at entrance greeting guest while clearing some merchandise and ensure it is all well placed.

Staff on counter are more on the ball, tables are all cleaned and ready for customer to sit and enjoy the view of airport.

Well done Starbucks.

REVIEW on March 2024: One of the worse or maybe the only worse Starbucks in Malaysia.

Understanding that KLIA Main Terminal have shortage of food outlet since Old Town close down, Starbucks is the only outlet food choice that you can dine in. Obviously there's a lot of people queueing up to get their coffee and bite in the morning.

Came here with a long queue and it was caused by a bunch of travellers who asked a lot of question eventho is just coffee & bites.

After my order, went and look for a table that I can sit down, sip my coffee, have my breakfast and do some work while I'm at it. To my surprise, all available tables are filled with cups, trays, food from past customer and Starbucks do not put priority by cleaning up table for next customer. Who would like to sit on a table filled with past customer's consumption? Mind you, there's a guy walking around clearing up table as much as he can and he saw my table, but couldnt give AF and just walk pass by and clear his own tray. After that, he is nowhere seen in the retail and tables are still filled with items from past customer.

After order, your food will be ready at the counter, you gotta stand there and wait. They will shout your name and hope you come and collect. If you dont respond in time, your food will be left there and that's it. Again, couldn't be bothered or DGAF whether you get your food but surely the retail has been arranged in such a way, you PAY first and dont care...

First time to KLIA and this place feels very welcoming. The service staff was awesome and created a deeply memorable experience. There was a queue cutter and the staff whilst being polite to excuse that person and took my orders first. If I count the number of times service staff have this kind of attention to detail, this is the only time I can recall in the recent years.

The place is spacious with an amazing view of the tarmac. There are plenty of seats either directly facing the tarmac with charging ports or the couch chairs with comfortable seats, letting you drink in peace and soak in the atmosphere.

Besides the coffee place, there is also Old Town Coffee and Harrods. But this place takes the cake for its closer location to the H gates as well as the quieter corner compared to the other 2 locations.
