WILL NOT COME AGAIN! AVOID IF YOU HAVE BABIES!

Visited Cyberjaya outlet on 17 April, 9PM. My husband ordered food, no issue. I came in with our 1y baby and sat down. Took out a tupperware consisting of homemade pasta with cheese ie food for my baby (attached pic). Frankly nothing on their menu I find suitable for a 1 year old, even mashed potatoes would be laden with salt, seasoning, etc. Their “kids meal” is definitely more for 4y.

A staff immediately approached me and asked if we are planning to serve the food in the restaurant to which I said yes. He said I am not allowed to do so because the outlet is trying to get their halal cert, recently there was an inspection done and the strict rule is no “outside food” allowed. I asked him if I’m supposed to just let my baby go hungry then? To which he replied this will be a one time exception so next time we aren’t allowed to do it. We went back and forth but since we ordered our food already, we just stayed and eat as usual.

In all my years of being a parent (my first born is 6y), I have never been denied from bringing in a bit of a homemade meal for my BABY at ANY restaurant. Even international airlines / airports let us bring baby food, for crying out loud! And their rules are stricter than anywhere else. Let’s be real, most restaurants do not cater baby food which is perfectly understandable hence why we prepared and brought our own. What if my baby is allergic to an ingredient used at the restaurant or cross contamination from something he is allergic to? What even is the use of baby chairs at this outlet if babies aren’t allowed to eat together? The staff said if we want to, we can sit outside instead. So either let your baby go hungry, or sit outside where there’s no AC to feed your baby. What nonsense is this? What riles me up so much is the fact that they keep throwing around it was due to the “HALAL REQUIREMENT” as if we are not obviously Muslim with me wearing tudung and looking obviously Malay Muslims. Would we be bringing in pork in our homemade tupperwares? Would a halal officer deny the outlet halal cert seeing us feeding our baby homemade food? Additionally I have also done my research scouring JAKIM’s website for such rules and regulations but unable to find any. Please, enlighten me which clause specifically states this.

I have been a fan of burgerlab since 2015 and to say this issue disappoints us is an understatement. I guess we would have to wait for our kids to be old enough to eat the food here or go in hungry. In which case, not worth our time and money at all! We will be visiting other eateries that allow us to bring homemade baby food so they too can EAT, like any normal human beings! AVOID...

We recently made a conscious decision as a family to support businesses that align with our values, avoiding those associated with genocide and harm to humanity. In our search for alternatives, we discovered My Burger Lab, and our visit to the Cyberjaya outlet was nothing short of delightful.

The restaurant's ambiance is remarkable, offering a sense of vast space with a comfortable design. The menu is diverse, and we were pleased to find out that downloading the app grants a free kids meal—a fantastic perk for families.

Personally, I enjoyed the distinct taste of the charcoal bun, adding a unique flavor to the burgers. The option for bottomless drinks is a plus, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it includes not only regular sugary sodas but also refreshing orange juice—a novel offering for us.

The staff at My Burger Lab Cyberjaya contributed significantly to our positive experience. Special thanks to Oviya, who went the extra mile during our order at the DIY Kiosk. She guided us through the process, recommended downloading the app for additional benefits, and ensured a smooth transaction. As we finished our meal, Oviya checked in on us, providing her business card and encouraging us to share our experience through a Google review.

Overall, our visit to My Burger Lab Cyberjaya was delightful, from the delectable food and welcoming ambiance to the attentive and helpful staff. We appreciate businesses that go above and beyond, and we're glad to support a local establishment with such positive attributes. Kudos to My Burger Lab for providing an excellent...

Oh my goodness…truly one of the top 5 burger spots that I have EVER tasted. Visiting from the United States, we always crave a good burger. We were in the area a month ago and the billboard on Burger Lab nearby caught our attention and made us laugh out loud. We decided to give it a try but when we arrived, they had already closed the kitchen and said that we would have to return a different day.

We happened to be in the area again today and saw the billboard again and decided to try out the burgers. I am not kidding when I say that these are some of the best burgers I have ever tasted…

The space is clean and inviting, and Jimmy at the front was super helpful and amazing. We felt welcomed and he helped us navigate through the menu. We ended up trying out three different burgers and had a side of french fries and the side of mac & cheese. We had the salted egg yolk chicken, Chuck Norris, and In N out Tribute. All of the different burgers were amazing but Chuck Norris took first place. We tried out the sweet tea and lemonade, and it was refreshing as well. How delicious it looks in the pictures is truly how delicious it is in person.

Definitely give Burger Lab a try if you’re...
