The service quality degrades over time while the price is understandably getting higher. I used to recommend Pelita to friends from overseas but not anymore.

One incident I had was this waitress took our orders (4 people) and “memorize” them. The order came wrong and I rightfully told him so. And like an entitled child he raised his voice and told me I ordered that. I told him show me the order notes. The other waitress knew I was in the right and pulled him aside and corrected the mistake. Bear in mind, this was around 10 in the morning and almost half-full customers.

How can the management let this happen? It is a franchise after all. They put a premium price tag for a reason, no? This is not an unnamed and understaffed business.

I’ve been to much better mamak with better service and price. And you bet I’ll pick them over this. And lucky for me (possibly many of us) mamak restaurant is everywhere.

Food is okay, staff are sometimes friendly, sometimes moody, service is inconsistently fast. Would give a 4 star rating if they don’t always cook it spicy when we’ve ordered and politely reminded the waiter multiple times that “tak nak pedas, no spicy” “tak boleh/pandai makan pedas”. Other than that, it is quite expensive, RM12 for nasi pattaya, their nasi can easily go up to rm18 per person, it’s usually packed with no seats,

I’m thankful for the spicy training sessions with them, but sometimes I just wanna eat nasi Pattaya and breathe normally.
