We, a party of three had lunch here today. Let's just say the service has fallen so far shorter than what it's used to be.
Food ordered was brought to the table late - other customers who came in later than us got their food faster and sooner than us, and we just ordered the bibimbap wheel, fried wings, and fries.
We asked for banchan refill, and the server only refilled one out of three pax without asking if the rest wanted the same. When the rest asked for a refill, the server did not even try to hide the fact that she sighed when we requested.
Ordered bingsu that never came. Signaled a few many times to check on our orders. Can't take it anymore - we left without having dessert. What's the point of ordering if we keep checking if our orders are not prepared?
Best thing is we ordered bulgogi beef fries since there's a 50pct off for any order off the menu. The final bill didn't even reflect the supposed discount. Either there's additional t&c to the offer, or the offer card was just poorly written.
Liked the food, but not going to go back and bring my business anytime soon until and unless the restaurant and the...
Read moreI have tried Korean food at Dubuyo, Dakgalbi, Seoul Garden, and found that I am not a fan of Kimchi. But still, I went into Tae Yong Island Restaurant at Cyberjaya after a long absence of eating Korean food. The place looks clean and spacious. My son and I had Bibimbap set and Dubu-Buchim and Mango Bingsu. My Dubu-Buchim was surprisingly sweet and nice. It had a lot of mushrooms, crunchy beansprouts that really blended well with the fried tofu. The tofu flesh was soft and yummy with a crunchy outer layer. I tried the Kimchi that comes with the Bibimbap set and it was good. Normally, the kimchi that I had before has these fermented taste of rotten vegetable and totally repulsive. But here, the kimchi as well as the pickle really has fresh taste with no smell or rotten taste at all. And the Mango Bingsu was just superb. The fresh mango was a bit sour and hard but I love the ice cream and shaved ice,...
Read moreWent here few times and my favourite from Taeyang is their beef bulgogi. The meat is really tender and bulgogi sauce taste really authentic.
Tried their bingsu as well, the portion in big with huge amount of fruits, ice base is not as smooth as expected but definitely more fine than ABC ice.
Spicy squid wasn’t that great and I think it’s overcooked as it took me forever to chew since it’s so tough. The spicy sauce was nice unfortunately the hero wasn’t prepared properly.
For fried chicken wings I tried soy sauce & spicy version. Soy sauce fried chicken was just so so, will be good if there is a hint of garlic taste. It only tasted salty. As for the spicy one, it’s really spicy but tasted very powdery. It’s like they just sprinkle some powder to make it spicy. Did not like the powdery after taste feeling. The texture of the fried chicken is nice and crispy. Just the sauces for them are...
