Tried this place with friends for a celebration just last week and it was horrendous. 2 main issues with this place: 1. Price isn't fixed whatsoever. There are a bunch of hidden charges which you will only realise when you receive the bill. As students, the unexpected total amount is problematic. But if price isn't an issue for you, this brings me to my second point. 2. Food quality does NOT tally up with the price whatsoever. Everything (especially the meats and seafood) are very low quality. They're basically frozen foods you can get at the supermarket for much cheaper in bulk. I didn't enjoy the food here at all and having to pay almost 60 for such terrible quality was the icing on top. If you would like to have good BBQ & Steamboat Buffet, I would recommend Gogigo Puchong. It's a Korean BBQ & Steamboat Buffet. It's RM30 flat price (no extra or hidden charges!) per person and I swear on my life the food quality is 10 folds better there. It's my personal favourite and please go there instead. Overall 1/5 stars for Volcano Shabu Shabu. Never returning.

I visited Volcano Shabu Shabu in Cyberjaya with my colleagues during lunch hour. There was no queue, which was a great start. The presentation of the restaurant was impressive, reminiscent of a hotel buffet. It’s an all-you-can-eat steamboat experience, offering a variety of options including beef, lamb, fish, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and frozen items like fish balls, crab sticks n others. Apart from the hotpot ingredients, they also served dim sum and sushi. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the sushi more than expected—perhaps because I was really hungry, but it genuinely tasted great. We added the grill option for RM9 per person, and the best part was that it was unlimited. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch session, allowing us to savor good food while chatting and relaxing with colleagues. The variety and unlimited options make it a great choice for a casual group outing.

Food/Menu: It’s a buffet all-you-can-eat place with steamboat and grill (additional cost) options. Love the idea that each persons have your own steamboat pot, thus, we got our own choice of soups (chicken, vege, tom yum, garlic miso and latest was sukiyaki). Wide range of ready to eat items, sauces, seafoods, yet sliced meat, lamb and chicken upon request to avoid waste of food. A lot of flavours available for drinks and ice cream too. Location/Ambience: Located at Shaftsbury Square Cyberjaya, the restaurant was easily accessible via the link bridge from parking building. The islands for food were alright yet table arrangements made it difficult for people to fetch food especially those who were seating inwards. Price/Service: Price range was affordable- most steamboat and grill eateries charged as much. Staffs were attentive and helpful.

Overall the food is good & very enjoyable. But I want to highlights two incidents. No 2 is such a horror not only to me & my family but to other patrons.

I came around two weeks ago. After spending more than 1.5 hrs suddenly we found lump of hair in the slice beef dish. It kills our appetite. By observing the kitchen staff, I notice that they do not adhere to hair/head restraints system. They didnt wear hat, hair net, beard net or bouffant hat as they should be.

2nd incident was horrifying. I came around 3.10pm and notice that 2 eggs was on the floor. Notified the cashier and she immediately went to see some other staff about it. After taking our seats, my wife went to take some drinks, I waited the table in order to order tomyam soup, beef, lamb & fish. After ensuring that both of us go to the buffet table to take food. While I was making sauce, my wife went to the dry noodle area. She step on the egg and fell down. It was more than 15mins since we came in. No attitude to clean it after customer mentioned it. Customers in the nearby table, I think table 1 & 2 immediately came to my wife to help her. But to my horror none of restaurant’s staff came to assist. The teo girls in blue uniform saw but just seem to ignore, keep on talking as though nothing happened. Only then one staff came to mopped the area & put up a slippery sign. Till the end until my wife manage to stand with other patrons help, none of the staff came. The cashier came to our table to apologized twice, but that is all.

I take this opportunity to remind this restaurant or any other, patron can sue the restaurant under public liability. Dont take too many part time staff in order to make more profit. Other establishment like Sukiya employ foreigners in order to ensure high quality services. Overall this incident is very outragest, very low mental attitude of staffs overshadow the good food serve. The mgmt is totally responsible for this...

Food was okay, but one of your cashier was unpleasant and unethical. I’m just disappointed.

I went to your restaurant for the first time with my sister, wanting to support your business after seeing it on social media. We arrived around 4:00 PM, and there weren’t many customers at that time, so I’m not sure what caused her behavior. Maybe the cashier was having a bad day or feeling unwell, but it still doesn’t excuse the way we were treated.

When we arrived, the cashier didn’t greet us. Instead, she immediately asked how many people were in our group. I was okay with that and said it was just the two of us. Then, the cashier asked if either of us was a student, and I told her my sister was.

The cashier impatiently told us to choose our soup base quickly and asked if my sister had her university card. My sister tried to find it on her phone, but it took some time.

The cashier then said, “Can you hurry up? I need to take photos for other customers.”

I told her to go ahead and take the photos first while my sister found her student ID, but she insisted we had to follow protocol and pressured us to decide quickly.

Where are your manners? I don’t expect to be treated like a princess, but I do expect to be treated with basic respect. The cashier was for me a bit rude, spoke in a loud voice, and had no patience. She ruined our mood and our first impression of your restaurant.

To the manager, please address this issue. Perhaps consider sending your staff for training on how to provide good customer service. I’d like to think positively maybe the cashier was tired or didn’t know how to treat people kindly. Maybe she isn’t aware of how to be professional. It’s disappointing to be treated poorly just because we were dressed simply. Please remember, all customers deserve respect, no matter...

1st time going there to eat with my partner at around 7:30pm. Went in, nobody serve us until we had to stare at the staff only they came. The staff told us Fully booked so she told us to leave our contact number and will contact us once they got the table. We asked how long will it take so we wouldn’t had to wait if it’s going to take few hours. She told us by 30mins they will have a table for us. So we waited. I was hungry at that time, so we decided to grab some bites at one of the Korean restaurant nearby. And until now, 11:17pm... nobody contacted us. Thank goodness we had grab something to eat first. Btw, the staff is called Emily if not mistaken. If there isn’t any place, just contact us, let us know that there’s no place left and we will find something else to eat!

P.S. when she told us fully booked at 8pm, there were actually at least 8 more tables there. But I will just give them the benefit of doubt and it doesn’t matter anymore anyway. Wouldn’t even want to revisit again even I had never even try before.. service always comes first before food.

Please improve on your staff servicing attitude if any of the upper management is...
