If you've ever been to Australia, you'd probably know what the letters HSP mean. These little shops serve the late night crowds looking for something hearty for supper.
I was pleasantly surprised when Big Boss HSP opened in my area, having already opened in other areas including Subang, Ampang and downtown City Centre, just to name a few.
Like e beacon in the night, this brightly lit shop stands out along the row of shop lots, It's not easy to miss this outlet.
Parking is not a problem as there's a lot of parking along Radia or you could choose to park along the road illegally.
The shop fashions itself very much like those down under, not having any dining in the shop but dominated by the kithen and also a counter. You could also dine-in as well, as they have some seats and tables outside the shop along the pedestrian walkway.
Meat choices are either chicken or beef, freshly cut off the vertical rotisserie, and you can either have it as a shawarma or as the Halal Snack Pack. For the uninitiated, the HSP consists of a bed of french fries with the meat on top with sauces. Side dishes like Chicken Salted Fries, Curly fries, cheese sticks and Falafel are available as well. You also have a choice of sauces to your liking,
if you choose, there are combos which are a combination of Shawarmas, HSP and side dishes or drinks.
The staff are super friendly and efficient in their service. Food is prepared in a very hygienic environment and done fast.
I ordered on chicken and one beef HSP. The fries were fried a little crispier than usual as it will be absorbing the juices from the meat. I must say, both HSPs were absolutely delicious!
Some have complained that the meats were a little dry. I did experience a few dry bits here and there in my beef, but that's due to how thing the meat was cut. One suggestion is to not cut the meat too thin, as it will dry out fast.
Prices are reasonable, and I enjoyed the food there. I'll be back to try the shawarma next, but judging based on what I've eaten so far, it should be just as good.
Highly...

Read moreHad my first try at Big Boss HSP and ordered their Signature HSP with a mix of chicken and beef. Tried their Holy Trinity sauce combo (signature garlic, smoky BBQ, and sweet chili), and it definitely lived up to the hype—flavorful and well-balanced!
The queue number system is quite efficient, with orders displayed on the TV screen. Waiting time was around 15 minutes, which was reasonable. Seating is quite limited, especially since we went after terawih for moreh, so keep that in mind if you're planning to dine in.
Price-wise, it’s on the higher side, but since it was my first time, I wanted to give it a go. Overall, a solid experience! Might come back for...
