my partner and i came here for dinner to celebrate my new job. we are both vegetarians, this was our experience.
we live in PJ so it was a drive to Mirage. its near the courtyard by marriot.
we got the pesto gnocchi that was meant to be spicy but there was no spice to it at all. im not a huge fan if pesto so i didnt love this dish. but the gnocchi itself had good texture and was cooked well. we both rated this dish a 4/10
we also got the aglio olio that was again meant to be spicy but wasnt. however this dish tasted very nice. we thoroughly enjoyed it and both agreed that we’d order it again. 8/10
we also got truffle fries, im not a huge fan of fat cut fries but it did taste quite nice. 7/10
for desert we got a customised tiramisu. this was a surprise my partner made them do for me which was quite sweet of them to do so willingly. (8.5/10)
my partner also got a chocolate cake that satisfied his cravings. i didnt try it so this is purely his ratings 7/10
i also had an espresso martini. which to be honest was a bit too strong (the alcohol taste) for me. but still worth it for its price since it was pretty big 7/10
we also had the best waiter, Daniel. he was soo accommodating and sweet. this place hasnt gotten the rage it should. its a really nice classy place that’s surprisingly...
Read moreI visited Mirage restaurant yesterday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite the polite staff, the overall service and food quality left much to be desired.
Upon receiving my order, I found the food to be extremely salty and nearly inedible. I brought this to the attention of the manager, who was apologetic and offered to remake the dish. However, the promised 10-minute wait turned into an excruciating 30 minutes, during which time I received no updates or reassurances.
When the food finally arrived, it seemed as though little effort had been made to improve its quality. I couldn't help but feel that the delay was intentional, as if it were a form of retaliation for my complaint.
I believe that a restaurant's true measure lies in how it handles customer concerns. Unfortunately, Mirage's fell short in this regard. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works to improve their service and food quality for the benefit of...
Read moreOh well, finally a restaurant in this vicinity that serves QUALITY food! The chicken chop was decent size, not like some restaurants slicing a patty into 2 or more to shortchange customers. It was very well cooked that I could taste some "crunchiness" on the skin while juicy on the inside meat. The mushroom soup was awesome too, nitpick a little that the size if could just get a tad bigger would be perfecto for me 😆 the sour lemon fizzy drink, I forgot the fancy name, it's real fancy and tasty that has perfect balance between sourness and sweetness. Last why did I take the photo of the ketchup? It's so clean without stained residual around the cap. I have not seen such for many years or decades in any other restaurants of similar league, including some hotels. Yes I'm OCD and a little mysophobia. For sure will come back for more, finally I don't have to drive out far to indulge. Pray the chef and the team and the boss do not compromise quality over profitability...
