Mixue - Setia Prima — Restaurant in Shah Alam

This was my first time to mixue. Because it's always crowded in all the outlets nearby to me. Today saw no queue, so I finally walked in. Wanted to order the ice cream earl grey but was told no more on menu. Ordered the ice cream latte on the menu but we told not available today. Was it the hungry strategy? Ended up the lemonade and a cone of ice cream amounted to RM5 only. For the lemonade, I must say the quality was above the price, definitely worth the value. Much cheaper than any kopitiam and much better quality. Not too sweet too, or don't shake and stir the syrup at the bottom. For the ice cream, it's good but I prefer McD's. McD sundae cone is more vanilla ish and creamy. But for its price, no excuse not to like it. No wonder every outlet I pass by is always in queue. It also reminds me of good ol' day that such things were so affordable for students. Perhaps we need more of these to instill a culture that quality stuff can be reasonably priced too. I had a disappointing experience at Mixue Setia Prima. I went to pick up my order and stood in front of the counter for 10 minutes, but the staff completely ignored me. I understand that they were busy, but at the very least, they could have acknowledged my presence or asked what I needed.

It's such a rare occurrence that I would be hooked to an ice cream. Ice cream is just some frozen cream with some toppings. How wrong was I. Mixue is the place that I'm going to visit frequently after this. I am willing to skip meals & do vigorous exercise for a week just for 2 cups of boba sundaes. Other drinks/sundaes/smoothies are delicious, too. Prices are so cheap as compared to other milk tea brands. Certainly my new favourite place...
