I am a resident of Bukit Jelutong and had been eating here since their years in Jalan Serambi. Never had anything to complain about, in fact, their food and pricing are up to our liking. We have not visited them since they re-opened in D’Vida I came in with my daughter for an afternoon snack. We were craving for some Kunafa and immediately ordered one after we were seated. We sat right in front of the “bar”/cake chiller/chocolate fountain area. We can visibly see how one of the server was preparing to serve our Kunafa. At first, I took no notice of anything. But after waiting for more than 20 mins, I was curious as to why it took so long to prepare our sweet treat. One of the server behind the counter (he wasn’t wearing a uniform like the rest, he was wearing a t-shirt top with opened buttons at the top, strange..) looked like he was fidgeting rather awkwardly whilst trying to serve our dessert. We couldn’t really see but could make out like he was unsure of the task at hand. Another staff came (he was in a collared black shirt) and helped the former server. At one point, we even noticed the t-shirt clad staff taking out a mop to mop the floor behind the cake chiller area (the area he was preparing our Kunafa) Finally our sweet dessert is ready and it was served on a cutting board with two teaspoons. We didn’t notice the syrup on top (looking rather dry) to which the black shirt staff quickly offered if we wanted extra syrup on top. We declined. As we were digging into our cheesy treat, we noticed that the customers near our table ordered Kunafa as well, but this time it was decently presented with a small jar of...
Read moreBeen eating here so many times since the days of the old shop near the asam pedas. Clearly preferred the current place, more airy and bright. I think what special about this place is the food they served, the environment and the service ( polite waiter) *Food: -Nice combo are lamb shawarma platter, eaten together with makhluba rice. -Please order together with Mozer's salad ( nicely seasoned with grilled charred eggplant) -Order ala carte shawarma lamb sandwich- please ask for crispier shawarma. I wont recommend chicken option for shawarma sandwich, the meat quite dry due to lack of fat. Overall, the shawarma sandwiches tasted better than the Damascus and Halab. -The shawarma lamb platter meat slice, full of lamb flavor, very fatty and fulfilling and nicely charred. It is nicely seasoned. Balance of salt and pepper and some spices. They served it with fries, mayonaise, onion and coleslaw. -The makhluba rice ( for those who like rice with spices can pick this rice), it is cooked with yogurt. The rice we ate is soft, fluffy and well seasoned with spices. -I have tasted mandy rice before here, very lightly seasoned. Not to my liking. -Other grill options: not my preference such as mixed grill , meat of chicken and beef can be quite dry and not well seasoned, preferred the hadramawt mixed grill
The food they served is quite generous in portion. For family of five, it cost us rm 80 for 1 shawarma lamb plater, 1 makhluba rice (ala carte), 2 lamb shawarma sandwiches, 1 mozers salad and drinks.
This is my regular place for dinner. Will...
Read moreI implore everyone, their grandparents, children, nieces & nephews, wives and mistresses, exs and sugarbabies, to give Mozer's a try. Better than any overpriced food you'll get at Bukit Bintang with all of the parking.
Had the Shawarma mix platter and if I had the god-given powers to do anything it would be to forget I ever had Mozer's so I could try it again and be blown. Coffee's good although I'm unsure if it's Nescafe but if you're gripe with an Arab Restaurant is the brand of it's Coffee, despite what I'm telling you, then I doubt anything in the observable universe could help a damaged soul such as you.
Staff are friendly, portions were well worth the price (Bloody filling aswell) and most importantly the sauces were free if you wanted to fill up a tub and a car's petrol tank. Syria has seen a horrible fate in the past few decades but besides a civil war instigated by ISIS and Western Powers against a regime, the food is still amazing.
I can't put into words how amazing the food here is. You'll just have to visit them, treat yourself and your friends to a good meal and be consumed by the food coma.
Ambiance is great in the sense that there's no roadside clutter and traffic, and you're relatively in a nice open area. Good for luncheons with staff, bosses, and maybe that highschool friend who you know is trying to sell you insurance. A date? Probably.
TLDR; Best Arab/Syrian food I've had by far, with a great price. Great ambiance in the sense that there's a table for a ciggy. Drinks are good....
