Ah Cheng Laksa • IOI Mall Puchong — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Alhamdulillah, we had the chance to dine here thanks to my former student who brought our family along, saying it was one of his favorite spots. He wanted us to experience it ourselves. Since IOI Mall Puchong has many restaurants and food court options, this place stood out for its strategic location and easy access.

We ordered a variety of dishes like Laksa Noodle, Curry Laksa, Pan Mee, Fried Banana, and Lekor Crackers. Alhamdulillah, the taste did not disappoint, everything was delicious and full of flavor. However, we did find the portion sizes a bit small compared to other restaurants we’ve tried.

The service was excellent, with friendly staff and quick food preparation. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, giving off a cozy village stall vibe. The decor was simple yet pleasant, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.

Serves local food like nasi lemak and asam laksa/curry mee etc. food has always been good despite it is not big portion. Always go for the set instead of ala carte as seems more good deal. Had the longan drink and i believe the longan came from tins as seems a bit dried. Not really fresh longans. The nasi lemak rendang 🐓 and sambal is spicy enough for me without really breaking into a sweat. Still a good warm meal to satisfy the tummy. Price is not that expensive hence there is a crowd. Have tried the curry laksa there few times and the taste is very flavourful. The only disadvantage is they are very stingy in adding cockles which is the attraction of the dish. Even if you order big portion the amount of cockles are still very few not to mention the size if the cockles are xxxs and overcooked. Chicken pieces also has very little meat on them.
