This little eatery is right next to the main road in Serdang. Finding a spot to park is tough, and you might end up parking on the side of the road where you're not supposed to. The place has an old-fashioned feel, with just a few fans and lights.
Their Hokkien mee is a good-sized serving. It's got pork, prawns, and other stuff, but it was a bit too salty for me. My friend tried the wat tan hor. It's okay – the crispy mee hun is crunchy but not really my thing.
The steamed fish is pretty good, especially with all the ginger they use. The 黄酒鸡 (chicken cooked in yellow wine) comes in a big portion and is sweet, with lots of ginger too.
Price-wise, it's alright. It's not super cheap, especially for an old place like this, but it's not too expensive either. If you're around Serdang and don't mind the simple setting, it's worth checking...
Read moreNot too bad of a hokkien mee, but abit disappointed cause the fire and charcoal looked great but lacks of wok hey. But might be my problem cause hokkien mee always feels like they lack of wok hey. The sauce was flavourful, abit salty to my liking but should be fine for most. Overall its not bad, you know it's decent by the taste although the wok hey might be lacking. Maybe like others said, lack of consistency. I still have high hopes for the place and other dishes. Will update the next time I'm here.
Price wise, one person portion rm 12. On the expensive side, forgot to take photos but not too big portion. 4 fresh prawns, meat and cabbage not too much. I would say nice portion to not feel muak but not sure if its worth RM 12.
PS went at 9+ pm, still quite few tables of customerss, and the kopitiam overall is...
