Menu-3.5⭐ As per name, it is yakitori or skewer shop, so 90% is skewer while 6% sake/beer and 4% is the lunch rice set for local needs. Thus, if you are craving for full meal, may not suit you. As for the main sales point, skewer and liquor are authentic Japanese style. Like all Japanese izakaya, Sapporo, tiger and lots of sakes. But for the cocktail, isless variety, only chu-hai and highball available.
Food-5⭐ I tried the pork belly lunch set, overall is very good. The rice, soft-boiled egg, miso soup are tasty and well cooked. As for the charcoal grilled pork belly, top quality. strong charcoal grilled taste, flavour full teriyaki sauce, and it is all blend into the meat, not pour after grilled, After all these, the meat is still juicy and not dry. High expectation for skewers.
Price-3.5⭐ Price is high, M/T20, but this is normal, as it is for bar theme. The cheapest meal would be the lunch set, which is under RM25 and included a pickles, miso soup, egg and refillable green tea. However, the rice is actually small portion, totally bento size. And Japanese bento is actually small.
Atmosphere-5⭐ Japan design with bar table and Japan drawing everywhere. Low light ambient that relaxing and suitable for alcohol time. But the most attracting point is the jpop and anisong they broadcast.
Very authentic Japanese bar. If go for beer or try Japanese skewer/street food, yes. But if purpose to fill your stomach, may need to...
Read moreFood is way below expectations. Saw the good reviews and came to give it a try. But the mains that we ordered today are quite disappointing. Pork belly rice - meat portion is generous, but the thick cuts make it less appealing, the sauce and meat is having a kind of smokey taste which we did not like. Chicken katsu curry rice - normal, portion is generous as well, nothing spectacular. Akita ramen - quite disappointing, the soup tastes like peppery instant noodles soup. Was expecting rich pork broth instead.
Maybe the yakitori is good, but we didn’t order any this time. Quite pricy though.
Service is ok, attentive staff and...

Second outlet of this kushiyaki joint, this place has reasonably priced Japanese dishes A nice 食堂, shokudō style eatery that you can come to enjoy a casual dining experience. Their kitsuni soba noodle is exceptionally good; the broth is flavourful and full of oomph. Generous serving bowl of goodness. The buta sumini yaki don tasted good too. Their skewered sticks of buta bara and momo were made to order and they did not disappoint. Will return to try their other dishes on the menu esp their...
