I placed an order online via the website (tedboy.com) on 15 May 2020 (Friday) for a whole cake (and 2 slices of cake) to be picked up on 23 May 2020 (Saturday) at 5 - 6 pm. On the day of collection, I was running late but I had checked Jaya One's Facebook page earlier in the day to make sure that Tedboy's operating hours was until 8 pm. I was at the shop by 6:30 pm and was astounded to see the shutters down and the shop closed. The cake was meant for a birthday celebration so you can imagine how livid I was to find out there would be no cake. I sent a message to their Whatsapp number. The customer service representative got back to me within 2 hours (which I consider as prompt) and informed me that after investigating, the staff at that branch had allegedly called me prior to closing but there was no answer. This is unacceptable for a number of reasons : 1. There was no missed call on my phone from them on that day, so this has become a he-said-she-said issue. 2. I checked their Facebook page subsequently and saw that they had only posted a notice the day before that they would be closed at 5 pm that day. If the branch had known (at least) a day before, why wait until the day of to (supposedly) try calling me? 3. After (supposedly) failing to reach me via phone call, there was no other attempt to contact me. They could have sent a text message or a Whatsapp message. The customer service representative apologized and offered to give me a refund which I accepted (and am waiting for them to process). To be honest, I feel that the customer service representative has done all that he can and is the unfortunate recipient of unhappy customers' anger. This is not my first bad experience with this particular branch of Tedboy, but I thought to give them another go considering my last bad experience was a year ago. So much for second chances.

They came like a rolling thunder when they saw me struggling with the ketchup bottle. Replaces the near empty sauce bottle with a new one. When I was done browsing the menu, my only indication that I'm ready to order was to turn my body looking for a waiter (there was none so I turn back in my seat) the cook herself came to me and take my order not 10 seconds later. Seriously, if that's not 10/10 customer service, idk what is. They're so observant and attentive. (Then again it was just me that time so I do get all the attention lmao) I love cake. My favourite food is cake. If you let me between choose David Beckham and cake, I'll choose cake. That is to say, do try their sponge cake. All time fav of mine is the Strawberry Shortcake. I can eat 3 of their cakes in one sitting. Their brownies is also good. Do try them. The breakfast pizza, my gosh that pizza. It's full of fillings, my cheese pull could rival pizzah*t commercial. Seriously. Now that I'm done with the praises, let's break down the overall experience. With RM 50, you can get one main course, one dessert of your choice and a beverage. The price is a bit at the pricey side. RM 9 for iced lemonade?? Add RM 2, I can get Chantilly fruit cake with that! They have several promotions, make use of that. I went around tea time, so there's not much customer around that time. You can see the staffs clean the utensils at the station, the barista makes your coffee, food coming out from the small window. If you don't mind the busy activity, then you're golden. All in all; Customer service: 5 star Cakes: 4 star Food: 4 star Price: $$

Tedboy offers a cozy and inviting environment perfect for a relaxed meal. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Chicken Avocado Sourdough and the Fitness Salad, both of which left a positive impression. The Chicken Avocado Sourdough was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted, providing a pleasant crunch that complemented the tender chicken slices and creamy avocado. The sandwich also included fresh lettuce, adding a refreshing crispness to each bite. The portion size was decent, making it a satisfying light meal. For those looking for a healthier option, the Fitness Salad is an excellent choice. It was a vibrant and generously portioned salad, packed with fresh ingredients. The chicken breast was lean and well-cooked, and the inclusion of avocado, cherry tomatoes, and a mix of greens made for a nutritious and flavorful experience. The sliced pumpkin added an unexpected but welcome touch of sweetness and crunch. Overall, Tedboy impressed with its quality ingredients and reasonable pricing. The cozy ambiance further enhanced the dining experience, making it a place I'd happily recommend for a casual and delicious meal.
