Came across this restaurant on TikTok, thought of giving it a shot! First impression, I thought the environment was pretty decent. Ample of seating and a variety of tables to choose from. Came around 6:15pm, was not packed so managed to sit right away.
We ordered the 2-3 pax fried chicken set, and had selected soy bean and spicy as our flavours. I was expecting more of a savoury taste but when the chicken came, I was surprised to see it lathered in some sort of sugar syrup. I still had high hopes but..
The chicken was really sweet. I’m not sure if its intended to be this sweet but the sweetness was definitely overpowering all the savoury flavours it had to offer. Even though the chicken was crunchy, I could barely taste any other flavour besides the sugar. However, this might be personal preference. It was just way too sweet for me, and I have eaten korean fried chicken in the past that are not coated in sugar..
The soup was below average, but still ok. Kimchi was good and refillable. Rice was ok too. Portion was good.
Service was fine but the staff were not very attentive. Dont think I’ll be coming back but its worth a shot if u...
Read moreTotally satisfied with the food here! It’s a small and cute little shop, but somehow it makes us feel super comfy as customers. The owners are a sweet Korean couple, and the staff are friendly, fast, and treat everyone really well. We genuinely felt the warm and cozy vibes while dining here ❤❤.
You can get set meals that are both affordable and delicious — win-win! Oh, and don’t forget: kimchi, soup, and drinks (certain drinks only, okay?) are refillable! Yes, FREE REFILLS — music to every hungry soul’s ears.
Bonus fun fact: If you spend RM45 or more, you get to take a cute photo at their photobooth! They’ve got tons of adorable props to play around with — perfect for the ‘gram or just for laughs.
If you’re the type who gets overwhelmed by crowds, try coming after the lunch rush for a more chill experience.
Overall, we were super happy with everything. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty Korean food with a side of...
Read moreBig bowl of dissapointment.
I’ll start with what’s good, the fried chicken, excellent for the spicy flavour, great taste, okay portion. 4.5/5
Now the bad, the beef.
I suppose this was supposed to be a beef bulgogi, but it tasted just like pepper. And it was literally 70% glass noodles, 30% beef. No sweetness that you normally get from a bulgogi either, just dissappointment. 0/5
That fried potato side dish as well would be so much better with just a sprinkle of sauce, 0/5.
Rice wasn’t even a full cup portion.
Tea was okay, 4/5.
Kimchi was okay, 3.5/5.
Overall I was very disappointed, came for Korean food but the main dish tasted like my sister’s cooking at 2.30am.
Bottom line, why serve a beef dish with rice if the beef dish should actually be called “Pepper noodles with beef”, because again, there’s more noodles than beef.
Wouldn’t be running back here unless I was seriously craving for the chicken.
I do hop this...
