Bad service. We came to watch a football match on their TV. No audio. Just visual. Only one TV showing. 60 minutes into the game, they deliberately changed the channel to a malay drama on national TV channel -- not upon request of anyone, also no audio. We asked an employee to change it back to the football match, he asked the cashier to do so, the cashier shook his head, declining the request. We suspect they do it deliberately so that we leave and new customers can get our table. We all left.
I don't understand why people come here. To order, they don't come to your table, you need to go queue up in a long queue at the counter, order, pay, inform your table, and go sit and wait for food to arrive. Wanna add more orders? Queue up again. They messed up my order too. Ordered mee goreng, the receipt states it as mee goreng biasa, but received maggi goreng.
The ambience is of typical mamak. Nothing too special. They don't serve roti and chapati at night either. Common to some mamaks, but it would be better if they do like other places near them do.
The place is always crowded. Baffling. I really don't understand why people come here. There are literally 2 other mamak within the same location, lesser people, another place is far better and got air conditioning + far better service than this.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery busy as it's in a student area and open till late. Also serves shisha. Thus you can come here to hangout but don't expect much from the food. It's standard. The low rating is because of how horrible the staff were. We came at night and the workers behaved in a way that signalled we were not welcome and adding to their workload. Im used to rude service and consider it normal in asian restaurants where food and efficiency takes priority. However, this place was worse than that. One of them scolded me when i asked them about where to order which was weird and a bad start. At the counter, it was no better where the person taking the order was just sighing and using rude head signals throughout. Not sure what the problem was but it didnt matter as i already knew i had plenty other options for mamaks in the area for the future. They were packed full in terms of how busy it was and maybe they are overworked or getting abit proud and sloppy. I'd bet if they continue this behaviour, competitors nearby will be able to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first visit to Canai SS15 left me with mixed feelings. Excited to try a new spot, I ordered a variety of dishes to sample. While my wife enjoyed her Soto, praising its rich flavor and delicious soup (4/5 for her), my experience was less satisfying. The fried noodles and bihun were passable, but lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. However, the real disappointment came with the roti canai. Not only was the curry sauce lackluster, but the roti itself was far from crispy and lacked any real taste. As someone accustomed to the flavors of Penang, this was a letdown. I shared my roti canai with my toddler. Despite the pleasant ambiance and reasonable prices, the subpar food left much to be desired. To make matters worse, both my toddler and I experienced stomach issues later that evening. While Canai SS15 shows promise, particularly in its soup offerings, improvements are needed, especially in the quality of...
