CHAGEE Express @ Main Place Mall, USJ — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I packed lunch and working on the road today and stumble upon Chagee Express at Main Place USJ 21

If you are looking for real tea given the same respect as coffee at a real coffee house instead of an overpriced sugar beverage made popular by tasteless millennials than this is the place for you.

For convenience... the tea comes in a to go cup and not in a traditional teapot for real enthusiast and the taste will lift you off your feet...

As what tea should...

Relaxing... calming... makes you forget about your problems and stresses... not add on to your financial debt... haha

Staff is friendly... being a first timer, I asked for what is the recommended... they gVe the top 2 flavours and also added their personal favorite...

They didn't disappoint... ordered the Da Hong Pao Milk Tea... one sip and I feel like I'm teleported to ancient China in the Tang Dynasty...

Hmm maybe should have had some braised beef ramen to go with this tea...

My mother and I had placed a pickup order with chagee, and we waited quite a long time for it. Although we had placed our order before the walk-in customers, they received their orders while we did not. Our drinks were visibly ready, yet they were given to customers who had ordered after us, which was quite disappointing.

Before placing our order, we asked a staff member how we could get the chagee badge (the green ones). The staff member said that we just needed to purchase one of the three selected drinks, but they did not tell us that it needed to be on a separate receipt. We tried to explain this to the staff, but they said we were not eligible for the free badge because it was not on a separate receipt. Therefore we left disappointed. This is the service we get from chagee staff.

Went to get Chagee and similar with other customers, our experience was quite subpar. Pretty well known amongst F&B where if it’s too busy, you should have the courtesy to acknowledge your customers to let them know you can’t serve them at the moment. Not only that when I got to order my drink, the employee made me wait while she was preparing another customers drink, it doesn’t take less than 20 seconds to just pass a drink on while the other is still on the machine dispensing, but she made the other customers order before serving me as well.

Not only that, I’ve came here before with my boyfriend and when we arrived, there was no staff at all at the counter, we had to say “hello” a couple of times before someone came to serve us.

I believe this outlet should re-train their employees on basic customer service. For now, I’ll probably be better off getting my chagee fix at...
