It’s the time where soba 🍜 cravings need to be satisfied. And this time we are here at Oli-bu No Oka
Ordered an appetiser Salmon Tataki (RM 12.80). The puffed rice crisp was bland, and you ought to have it with their well seasoned salmon, which we quite like it. The portion looked small in their rather big bowl, but just nice as an appetiser. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
The first to came was cold soba (RM 16.90). The portion of the soba was reasonably large. She had expected a well balanced chewy soba noodles, but instead it came out slightly over cooked. It was a rather disappointment with such high expectation from the restaurant 😅. ⭐️ ⭐️ half
I like their Yakiniku Don (RM 58.90) very much. The beef was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, just the nice amount of saltiness. The amount of beef slices matched with the rice perfectly so that you dig in happy and fast 😂. And with the soft boiled egg blended in all together, et voilà, a perfect hearty meal. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Unfortunately their Chirashi Don is only available during the weekends, so we resorted to Sashimi Moriwase (RM60). A combination of tuna, salmon and prawn, they were fresh slices of fish, a proper sashimi that you would expect. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Overall the dining experience was great with the fancy ambience. Came during the weekdays, so there wasn’t too much of a crowd. Nothing wow 🤩 to shout about, you could get the same great taste elsewhere. Might not come back unless within the vicinity.

Read moreRecommended by a friend who tried all their dishes, I decided to order their Salmon Teriyaki Don, which turned out to be a hearty and satisfying meal, along with some edamame, which I absolutely love love love! However, the Chawanmushi didn't quite suit my taste, but my friend thoroughly enjoyed it.
The restaurant has a calm ambiance, and its elegant and contemporary interior adds to the overall dining experience. I would describe it as a stylish Japanese cuisine establishment in Seri Kembangan, standing out among other options. The owner, whom we affectionately refer to as the 'big boss,' was very kind and treated us to complimentary and delicious sushi 😝
On a side note, I observed a difference in the service provided by the female waitress compared to the male waiter when the boss was not around, even for just a moment. The female waitress seemed impatient while taking orders, and I believe it's essential for anyone working in the service industry to prioritize improving customer service. As a guest, I come here to enjoy the food and the dining experience, not to witness displays of temper as if I...
Read moreI rarely give five stars review, but this shop is definitely worth it. Being travel to Japan very frequent, I would say this Japanese restaurant is very authentic. From the little details like serving cold towel before meal, to the generous portion and yummy food, I totally have no complain.
I ordered gyudon, it comes with thick layer of beef slices, which normal gyudon I found in Malaysia are using thin and shredded meat slices. The gyudon includes mushrooms and mizuna inside, it makes the don very flavourful and rich in texture.
They served salmon sashimi with real wasabi, not low quality powdered wasabi. Real wasabi is expensive, normally it's only found at premium Japanese restaurant which charging hefty price for a meal.
The little details like serving cold towel before meal is rare find in Malaysia restaurant with this price range. They are trying to preserve the authentic Japan restaurant practices.
I'm really surprised serdang has a Japanese restaurant with such high quality. I'm planning my...
