2/9/2024. We usually eat at Thai Moment but have wandered past this modest shop many times but never tried. At approx 4.30pm ? the shop was empty, save for another customer who had already finished eating her noodles and was just surfing on her phone.
My photos of our orders turned out amazing but the actual food turned out the opposite 😭 Tom yam seafood noodle was EXCRUCIATINGLY sour. Had to "close eyes, too sour". As was the mango salad which was 3 'S'..sad, sour, soft. No crunch, just very very sour. After trying a couple spoonfuls, gave up and sat there in shock.
The Pattaya beef fried rice was delicious, though beef chunks were chewy and soft like gummies. Belacan chicken fried rice had a strong taste of earthy belachan.
we made it clear to the lady serving us that the Tom yam was way too sour to eat. The lady apologized then told the staff at the back. It was really obvious that the food was not liked as the tomyam, mango salad and even the belachan fried rice was left uneaten on the table. Your staff acknowledged the complaints but at no point did they offer any solution to change/ recook the dishes.
The only thing we really ate and finished was the Pattaya beef fried rice + the plain water and longan drink. The longan is reconstituted from the brown dried form and isn't the white longan fruit steeped in syrup. Extremely sweet. We didn't want to waste the RM55.30.paid, so just tar pau the uneaten dishes. This takeaway is untouched in the fridge since we got home. Very disappointed, should have gone down the road to our normal Thai place, paid a little more and gotten...

Deep-Fried Sweet & Sour Fish – A whole fish, crispy-fried and generously topped with a tangy and slightly spicy sweet-and-sour sauce, along with diced pineapple and vegetables. The fish was fresh, flaky, and full of flavor, making it a must-try.
Sotong Goreng (Fried Squid) – Perfectly fried squid rings with a crispy, golden batter. The accompanying chili sauce added a nice kick. The squid was tender and not too chewy, making it a delightful snack or side dish.
Tofu Nam Dang – Soft tofu cooked in a rich, savory sauce with mushrooms, and black beans. The combination of textures and flavors made this dish stand out.
Tub Tim Krob – A refreshing Thai dessert featuring crunchy water chestnuts coated in a ruby-red syrup, served with coconut milk and shredded jackfruit. A perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess to end the meal.
With a warm ambiance and friendly service, this restaurant is a great spot for Thai food lovers. Whether you’re in the mood for a crispy seafood dish or a comforting tofu specialty, Phad Thai Restaurant...
Read moreIt was a weekend and we were there for lunch. The place looks old with little wall decorations and it was packed with customers. The staff is friendly and the service fast. We ordered Pandan Chicken (s) at RM13.90, Noodle TomYum Seafood at RM11.90, Phad Thai Beef RM 9.90 and Kao Neaow Durian at RM9.90. And we drink Pandan tea at RM1.50 per cup. I love the Kao Neaow Durian. It was sweet and creamy with just the right santan taste and pair with the soft and gooey sticky rice. I think this is one of the best dessert that I had ever had. And I went for the dessert first before having my main course of Noodle TomYum seafood. The soup is delicious, spicy and savoury while tasting all the gallangal, lemon grass and kafir leaves. The Pandan Chicken is soft and scrumptuous. And having Pandan tea is the best to let the taste subsides. Parking is available by the roadside or at the elevated parking just opposite...
