Our first post jet lagged meal was at Shin Zushi USJ.

Food-Pros: Definitely will re-order again Salmon Salad and Tuna Salad, both were amazing!!! Both salmon and tuna are fresh. Dressing and pairing are on point.

Food-Cons: Won’t re-order Tako Sashimi, 3 pieces for RM11 was not tender but chewy and the serving size/presentation was underwhelming. May not re-order Gyu Tataki. Although the sauce and seasoning of Gyu Tataki is good, the actual tataki flavor is missing. Anyone who have tasted the actual tataki flavor would know the Gyu Tataki served here is a misrepresentation of “tataki” and should not be named as such dish. Won’t re-order Shake Toro as it is another underwhelming dish May re-order Salmon Mentaiyaki only IF, a very huge IF the heavy and extremely salty sauce on top can be omitted or serve differently (separately). I did tried scraping the sauce off but it is no easy with a pair of chopsticks. Owner and chef should make this dish exactly as they served us today and taste it themselves, without rice nor vegetables as companion. Definitely avoid the gari (pickled sushi ginger). What wrong with your supplies?!?!! My husband actually have to spit them out and he never waste food!

Service: All service staffs needs to be re-trained on their role and responsibilities in providing a pleasant experience for their customers from the waiting area throughout the dining time until they walk out off the door. No one pay attention to the waiting area during off-peak hours and the “please wait to be seated” signage was displayed. The dining experience was poor, your team leader on the day will be able to furnish the details for you to update your employees...

Had lunch here, crowded even during CMCO. The price was very affordable, and they have variety of choices. Service is good. Kids will definitely love torched eel with sweet sauce maki, it's like biting on unagi+mouthful of crumbs of fried food. Mango Salmon Maki was very disappointing, we can only taste the sweet and spicy sauce, instead of the flavour of the mango and salmon. It's like having Thai sauce but halfway there with rice, would not recommend this one. Piri-Kara Udon is quite sweet (artificial sweetness taste) and the soup taste similar to the mango salmon maki😣 I had the Udon and karage, but bypass the soup after trying it. For the Yakiniku don, it was ok, but the beef was overcooked so the meat was a little dry and hard, loss the taste of beef, but the sauce save it. The portion is fulfilling though. It comes with a chawanmushi and miso soup. Chawanmushi it has unpleasant eggy taste. I m an egg lover, but this one I have to bypass it. Miso soup was too salty, so we didn't finish, but they prepare the kelp well. Salmon belly was sold out so we have salmon sashimi instead. It was thick and average. Salmon fish head soup was really a pleasant surprise to us. It has a natural sweetness from the vegetables and fish. Eventhough the soup is slightly too salty and not rich enough, but the fried salmon fish head are so good! Will definitely order it again...

The menu options were pretty decent with a decently wide range of choices, ranging from different types of sashimis all the way to different kinds of udon. In general the food was pretty good for the price, no complaints here.

The only marginally negative experience about my visit to this restaurant was just the one instance of customer service displayed by one particular employee who was greeting customers by the front door. I went in and the restaurant was pretty packed, somewhat expected considering it was lunch time; and so the staff informed me that only the sushi bar seatings were available. That was fine by me, however I just wanted to find out if any of the normal tables would be available sometime soon as I would prefer a normal table, and if the waiting time wasn't too long, I don't mind waiting it out. However, the response that I received from the staff was absolutely horrible in terms of customer service, all I had gotten from the staff was a short nonchalant "I don't know". What is the point in me asking if I was just going to get an "I don't know"? 🙄 This shows a lack of care towards the potential customers outside.

Thankfully for the remaining duration of my visit, I was very impressed by the level of service provided by the other staff members. They were very attentive and proactive towards the needs of customers. Excellent customer service in...

Our group of 5 went on a late Sunday afternoon for dinner, and there was no crowd waiting in front of the restaurant which can happen quite frequently, during the standard dinner time after 7pm. The restaurant itself was not too full, and there were a few empty tables left. The protip is to arrive as early as possible, close to opening hours if you can, to avoid the long queue, and to have a pleasant dining experience as well because the place is quite small and tightly packed together. The service was acceptable and the waiters were attentive. When we called for a refill of the green tea, it was done quite fast and efficiently, so that was good. The orders came fast as well, and everything was served promptly. In terms of the food, we ordered only sushi, and I was quite disappointed with the size of the sushi, which was smaller than I thought. However, in saying that, the price of each sushi order was not too expensive, which shows a good price to portion ratio. As for the taste, it was good but not memorable, if that makes sense. Nothing stood out, but don't bother ordering any of the ramen dishes in the menu, as the broth is a disappointment and the noodles are not really the type of noodles for ramen. Overall, I would return again to try other dishes on their menu except the ramen.
