There's an on-going dinner set promo where you can get 4 dishes (1x from fish / chicken, 1x from tofu / egg, 1x wanton / fuchuk & 1x vegetable) for only RM55. Then all you need to do is order rice and drinks separately to go with the dishes. Very good value for money but just be wary some of the dishes are on the spicier side. Enough to feed for 5 pax of small eaters and 3 pax of big eaters

Service was prompt (probably due to the lack of customers as we came early at 5pm) but wished that they applied for a payment terminal so that payment by debit / credit cards are accepted. Atmosphere is cosy and the best part you can see the (well dressed) cooks doing their stuffs through the transparent glass. Oh, there's a condiment station but you might want to avoid the "cili potong" if you can't stand pedas

Will definitely come back but would need to find more kaki makan to tag along as there's no way I can finish all of food if I only brought another person (1 pax) along 😂

Walk & Ride SJ info: The restaurant is easily accessible via the SS15 and SS18 LRT station. Stop at SS15 for a shorter walk compared to SS18. You can also get down at the Subang Jaya LRT station and hop onto the free SJ01 bus to get here. The bus will stop in front of Xfrens and from there it's an even shorter walk of a minute or 2 to get to...

Good pork free chinese style restaurant in SS18 - Bintang Kemuning.

My top 3 dish would be - spring onion ginger beef kuey teow, hokkien mee and nasi goreng atuk.

With my dietary restriction (aka no pork) I have never had any good hookien mee cause all that I've tried before taste like kicap till I found this place. They have good hokkien mee, wok hei and they cook with crispy chicken skin i think (to subsitute for pork lard). Sorry picture not so good, we were halfway eating.

The nasi goreng pun sedap, basic made good just like how i like. No frills, just tasty. Appropiately priced as well, enough to bring me back for a second visit just the day after.

I tried their other dishes, it was fine too, but if I were to go back again (very high probability I would this weekend) I would order any of these 3 items spring onion ginger beef kuey teow, hokkien mee and nasi...

Food : 3 star. Mediocre cooking.

Portion : 4 star. Generous portion.

Ambience : 2 star. Clean environment but pretty dull setting.

Service : 2 star. The waiters were not very attentive to our requests.

Price : 1 star. Very pricey considering the types of food on the menu. Probably the most expensive among other restaurants offering the same category of food.

Location : 3 star. Not accessible by public transport and could only reach the restaurant by private car. Parking around there was always full but somehow still could find a space after short waiting...

Pleasantly surprised by well cooked variety of typical "dai chow" noodles but without pork lard. How is it even possible that it tastes like the real deal? Answer: Chicken skin/fat as substitute! Reasonably priced too. Don't forget to try the fried fu chuk (bean curd skin with fish paste). Also the variety of condiment/sauces is impressive. Continuous opening hours means you can pop in at 3pm and still be served - which is handy as the entire row of shoplots is going through a renaissance of top food eateries in Subang Jaya of late, meaning carpark can be a premium. Good prompt service too. Enjoy!
