1st time went for lunch around 2.15 pm on Sunday. Ordered Chicken Chop and Pork Chop set lunch. Requested garlic sauce to be separated in a bowl but the meal came with the sauce plastered on the meat on both plates. We felt rushed as the restaurant closed at 3 pm. Overall quite impressed with the meal. It's not easy to get parking at SS15 even on Sunday as it's a busy place.
2nd visit for my husband birthday on Saturday night. Made reservation but when we arrived we found out it was cancelled. Luckily still had tables available as we arrived earlier. Ordered Mushroom soup, Garlic bread, Chicken Chop, Rib Eye Steak & beer. Garlic bread not worth it, thin small pieces. The Chicken Chop reduced in size. I didnt want any drinks. The waitress misleading me when she said she would give me a glass of water but I was charged RM1.50 for it & it was not even in the menu on the Drinks page. How can you simply charged people when it was not in the menu? I wanted to pay by Credit card & it was tried on both machines but they were not working so paid cash. Owner blamed my card problem. I called my bank immediately & was told my card didnt had any decline messages on my the account. I was told that the problem was on the merchant side if I can use my card in other merchants which I had used without any problem after this embarrassing incident. Overall not a very good experience & not visiting the...
Read more• Service • It’s a place where the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Got service only 5 mins after seated, had to ask for a menu. Waited 1 hour for the food, plus family after us complained and got served before us. Confronted the manager/owner about this, was told it was a printer issue and apologised. Tried to expedite the order but when the order came, they got 1 order wrong and missed out another.
• Atmosphere • No frills and be prepared to be smoked. Ventilation is horrible, you come out smelling like their sizzling meats. Grease + black pepper + smokey.
• Food • The grilled chicken chop mushroom sauce was salty and the pumpkin soup was horrendous. It felt like a sprinkle of pumping powder (which you could still feel the lumps?) and a sea of water. Sizzling chicken chop was ok. The standard here is like those tepi jalan warung western.
• Price • Reasonable for food. I guess you barely get what you pay for. Drinks is borderline not worth it. RM3.90 for a bottle of water. RM7.90 for a dash of Ribena + 5 small lychee. Which we waited 25 mins for anyways. Was given 20% off the bill for the inconvenience.
Apart from the owner/manager being apologetic and affordable price, don’t get the...
Read moreWe were here on the last Saturday of the year. My first impression was, the ambience didn't live up to the expectation of the name being a western restaurant. The deco is bare minimum, pretty much nothing reflects its identity as a Western Grill House. Therefore, in terms of appearance I would give 1.5/5. However, when the food arrived, it was 5/5 for the grilled chicken chop with pepper sauce. The sauce was perfect, the consistency was right and it was a perfect compliment for the tender, well marinated and adequately grilled chicken. We ordered the set meal which came with pumpkin soup as a starter, Chicken chop as the main course and Ice-cream as dessert. It would have been great if we were served with two scoops of ice cream with some chocolate toppings or some strawberry sauce, it was plain with a pandan and chocolate flake. Nevertheless, the ice cream was of good quality. The price is perfect, it is priced to encourage more people to enjoy this delicious western food. A little bit of Western themed deco on the walls and ceilings will transform this restaurant with...
