Dirty table. Waiter wiped table with dirty wet cloth without using available disinfectant. He just nonchalantly dumped the menu book on the wet smelly table. We had to get tissues to wipe the table ourselves and wipe the sticky wet menu.
We ordered indomie goreng telur mata. Wanted to change it to Telur dadar, but was told that wasn't possible, must take it as is. So we had to order the Telur dadar as a separate item, chargeed rm3.20 for it and on top of that pay for the indomie Telur mata rm6.30 even though we don't want the Telur mata. We agreed to it as we just wanted to eat what we want. But just letting others know that this is my first time a mamak restaurant is unable or maybe unwilling to change the Telur mata to telur dadar because the menu says so. Another unpleasant experience is we ordered Nasi goreng pattaya. Now almost malaysian knows nasi goreng pattaya has the rice wrapped in the omelette. But the one we got had the omelette laid on top of the fried rice... Take a look at the photo.. when we asked the cashier, he said at Q Bistro the nasi goreng pattaya is like that. No other way without batting an eyelid... sorry to say, I have been a regular there, but this is the first time I had a very bad experience there. Makes me want to look...
Read morecozy and nice environment for a mamak, you don't feel like you sit and eat at mamak if you sit indoor, and indoor doesn't smell like mamak, too (trust me and go try for your self).
price is slightly higher than other normal mamak.
during my visit, I have tried 3 very basic yet very important for every mamak, imho.
teh tarik roti kosong nasi lemak
teh tarik, it stated "signature drink" in its menu, I believe the tea leaf used here is different as can taste it is different, stronger tea taste, very milky taste too.
roti kosong, consider normal roti kosong, but the dhal is very good and very rich.
nasi lemak, rice is normal, just normal rice with santan, ikan bilis and nuts is ok, sambal in this case is the only thing that bring the nasi lemak up, sambal is good. my expectation is higher when a nasi lemak biasa selling at rm4.50
will try to come back here to try some other foods as this mamak offers alot others food like dimsum, roti bakar,...
Read moreSaturday night is deemed one of the busiest nights for mamak operators. Tables were not well cleaned after. Overall cleanliness was not well taken care especially if you sit near corner of the kitchen counter area. You will notice unwashed plates were stacked up in the push cart trolley at the counter. I believe those things should be pulled into the kitchen washing area rather than it being just a few feet away from customer's table. It was an eyesore and would affect one's appetite. Light items were not available in the menu. Visited this place around 10pm and roti canai or any sort of rotis were not available in the menu except for naan bread, chapati and puree. Mamak is a place to crave your late night supper needs. If those light items are not available, what's the point of going to mamak at night. And also please bring back in physical menu as we are not longer in a...
