We were returning patrons mainly for their ambience coupled with the good food. Absolutely bitter dining experience this time. Chronolgy of events below: Arrived at approx. 8.45pm, staff were not attentive to welcome our patronage. Staff approached and hand signalled us to our preferred seating (outdoors). At this point we enquired about their closing hours and hostess clearly mentioned 10pm. As we sat down browsing through the menu, another staff came over on their routine to all tables informing that kitchen was closing and if we wanted to place any last order (Shock 1). As he realised we were just seated, we were somehow pressured into placing the order immediately to which we told him we needed a few more minutes. Hovered around our table for the next few minutes (more pressure) Placed our order in a rush. And then approx. 9pm waiter comes to our table and just coolly takes away the candle/holder - snatching away our candlelight experience. Seriously? (Shock 2) At exactly 9.09pm, removed all the cushions from chairs at the next table and stacked them on the table, sending us a gush of air. (Picture for reference) Food arrives, at this point we only had hopes left on the food to save the night. At 9.26pm, waiter comes to our table to ask for Bill settlement while we were in the midst of the meal. Reason was they were having a system update shortly after. (Shock 3). We insisted on speaking to the Manager at this point. Manager never arrived (apparently there is only a Floor Manager who also never showed up). Waiter had the guts to lament to another staff whilst pointing to our table in front of us. (The arrogance of all the above while getting a hefty service charge out of our pockets) Floor Manager came with the bill again, we told him that we'll head to the cashier shortly as we were still dining. He finally apologised as we made our complaint.

Completely lackadaisical staff just waiting to pack up.

We understand that you need to close the kitchen/cashier counter, we understand that you need go home and we understand that you're all humans.

It's simple. If you close at 9, say you close at 9.

Our weekend date was ruined.

Would we...

Belated birthday treat so we decided to head over here.

We ordered the following dishes + verdict:- French fries - well cooked straight cut fries with ketchup. Can't go wrong. 4⭐️

Grilled beef pasta - tender and smoky grilled beef with tomato based pasta. I am impressed with the "fusion" of flavors in this dish. Slightly spiced with what I suspect is birds eye chili. Came with a thick cut of garlic bread. 5⭐️

Beef burger with cheese - beef patty was cooked to well done hence it was dry and tasteless probably because it was not seasoned. We were never asked for preferred doneness. Served with French fries, black pepper sauce and some kind of side dish made up of shallots and chilli. 3⭐️

Sup buntut ( I assume it is oxtail soup) - very tasty broth with lots of Asian spices and a hint of sourness. Perfect on a cold day. 4⭐️

Pisang bakar ( caramelized banana with coconut ice cream ) - 3 pieces of very ripe bananas caramelized with sugar. Served with a scoop of coconut ice cream and strips of dessicated coconut. Very very sweet but that is what dessert is all about. Kids loved it! 5⭐️

Overall food tasted very fresh. We have been here quite a number of times and they are very consistent.

Service 0⭐️ for the 2 female servers for their unfriendliness. They were unhappy that we came early (1045am) prior to their 11am opening 🤷‍♂️. One of them (name tag showed Khan Kyi wearing black outfit) rudely placed the menus on the table and said to wait 15 minutes before we could order. Not even a greeting of hello or welcome. Just an angry face. The other one wearing grey outfit were giving us the sideeye as her displeasure despite not serving us! These kind of people should not be working in the hospitality/service industry!

5⭐️ for the male servers who served us later.

5⭐️ for the outlets cleanliness. I am amazed that they can keep the place very clean especially when having an open kitchen...

The staff there forever blur blur one. I use English seem like they can't really understand. I use BM then they reply me using English. Not to mention their voices are muffled due to the masks they wear so I cant even hear them. I remember once at the Sunway Pyramid outlet I raise my hand so long also no waiter want to serve me. Ask them for tissue also need to wait 30mins. The service is crazy trash on another level.

The last straw for me was here in the Empire Mall outlet. The supposed manager loudly yelled at me because apparently I made a mistake ordering. There was no need for the manager to repeatedly scream at me even if I was in the wrong. He attracted attention from the whole restaurant (full house at that time) and humiliated me.

Food here is good but it's not worth coming here. Even if u dont kena yelled u still have to put up with their nonexistent service that they will charge you for in the bill. Never...

3 of us went for lunch at 1pm, not very crowded but building up. First thing we noticed, no electricity in the entire outlet, only candles shimmering while the entire mall was brightly lit. We decided to sit outside, brighter with better air ventilation. The light featured tree was elegantly standing and alot of portable fan blowing the place. So it was comfortable. For mains, we ordered Nasi Campur seafood with Chickens rendang and Siap Mepanggang. Initially we wanted to order Bali Trio as a starter snack but due to no electricity, all fried items were not available. That kind of bumped us out. The food arrived quite fast and it's presented as per displayed on the menu. Taste great too! Seafood was fresh, chicken and meat were tender and juicy, sauces pairing was on point, and all provided in generous portions. The food quality was great and had quite a pleasant experience. Recommended and I'll definitely return with more friends.
