Incredibly poor and such low standards. Service was abysmal. Social comes across as a copycat at best with aims to look and feel like the good ones but completely falls short across all aspects. Portions were small for price .. a side of vegetable was represented by a leaf of choysum literally and the worst burger ever made with chicken breast. Dry. Hard to swallow and devoid of any sauces or anything that would add a hint of flavor. A pretention place that wants to look and act cool but ends up looking like really really poor imitation. Waiters clearly not trained. Didn't even know how to place a plate on the table or to make space on table for a plate. They just randomly placed plates wherever there was a gap. A dish with mains as fried rice was placed as a side while the accompanying meat supposedly on the side was placed as a main.. waiters also failed to observe and clear used plates and utensils which kept piling until we told them to clear. And this was after they had served the mains. Common sense would dictate that u have to clear the appetizers before serving mains. But don't think they had a clue about how to run a food business. Brownie felt like it was from a freezer. Microwaved. Mash was dry heavy probably microwaved. The sharing platter was so small we were scared to share the items and afraid there wouldn't be enough food. The lamb didn't taste like lamb. Cheap...

Was invited for a luncheon at this restaurant before Covid (2019). Had a lovely dining experience then.

Aug 2023: Brought the family for dinner. Menu is extensive. The ambience looks the same. Restaurant is clean, service staffs are friendly and most attentive. A special shout out to Rodrigo who attended to us. :) Food wise, we ordered a few dishes to share as portions are big. We had Fajitas (combo: beef & chicken) - delicious. Could do with more tomato salsa though Beef nachos - tasty. Would be nice to add some jalapeño (suggestion) Chicken schnitzel - served with spaghetti. This was tasty and a generous helping. Fish & chips - generous portion and served with green pees (my personal favourite). The tartare sauce is great and goes well with the tasty fish. Broccoli & kale - delirious. Topped with almond flakes. A lovely change instead of ordering my usual salads. Buffalo chicken wings -...

After I reviewed, I read the rest and indeed was not the exception of the most reasons why this place got bad ratings - SERVICE . And yet, I'm surprised nothing has been done and taken seriously even though this goes way back the years . And yet , you still want us to waste time emailing you our feedback again??

I asked a server for Bailey's on the rocks, gave me a look as if I spoke in a foreign language. Walked away, I didn't know if I should be expecting an answer or... ??

So many servers walking toward us before having to turn right to the kitchen but all looked everywhere instead of straight because that was the direction of the last table, which was also unfortunately our table. All acted busy, walked really fast but have nothing serving on the their hands.

No point keep asking for feedbacks but do nothing about it. You are wasting your time and...

I ordered the green curry chicken, but unfortunately it was overwhelmingly salty. A little saltiness is acceptable, but this was beyond enjoyable. The chicken portion also felt very small considering the RM32 price. For drinks, I had orange juice it turned out very sour. Of course, that depends on the fruit, but I believe the restaurant could be more selective with the oranges to ensure a better balance. The atmosphere was generally pleasant, though the cool air from the air-conditioner clashed with the warm draft from the entrance, which made the temperature a bit inconsistent. On a brighter note, the satay was truly excellent flavorful, juicy, and definitely a highlight. Service throughout the visit was impeccable, attentive, and professional, which made the overall experience much more pleasant despite the issues with the food.

I had mixed feelings about my experience at The Social. The ambience was clean and cozy inside, with the option for outdoor seating. Service was above average and friendly, though the kitchen staff were delayed with some of the dishes. The quality of the food was overall average, and the prices were quite high, making it not great value for money. I visited with my family for a birthday lunch. While some members of my family enjoyed the experience, I was not particularly impressed. I ordered the lasagna, which I found to be just okay; the taste and texture did not stand out. The ginger ale was refreshing, and the desserts, consisting of cakes, were somewhat acceptable. However, I did enjoy their cappuccino. Given this experience, I may not return to The Social. Overall, I would rate it 3 stars.
