We ordered 2 lunch sets. Mine was the chicken with some sauce and it was so so.
My daughter ordered the chicken tom yam soup with rice and egg. First issue was she initially wanted the seafood tom yum which had squid, prawns and mussels, she wanted only prawns but they could not accommodate our request - Strike 1!
Next, her order only came 10 minutes after my order arrived which meant by the time i could eat (we only eat when everyone’s meal arrives), my meal was cold - Strike 2!
When my daughter cut the egg omelette, there was a strand of hair inside. When i complained, they duly took the plate away and made a fresh omelette - Strike 3!
The tom yam soup was bland and actually did not even taste remotely like tom yum - Strike 4!
Strike 5 - there was a piece of plastic in the soup. I guess the chef cut open a packet of ingredients over the pot cooking the tom yam soup and the plastic bit dropped in the soup. Either the chef couldn’t be bothered to remove it or did not notice it falling in.
The restaurant was totally empty, so i can’t understand why the chef was so careless. Talk about returning after Raya break with a bad attitude. First and last time i patronise this...
Read moreDisappointing first visit - I really do want to support independent businesses but here’s hoping things can be improved so y’all stay in biz! Food quality really needs to step up several notches if you want to specialise in pasta and pizza.
They got my choice of pasta wrong - and carbonara was rather dry. Roast chicken was just okay but tad bit dry as well, came with a chunk of tough mashed potato with what tasted like instant sauces.
Was excited to get freshly made pizza, but realised I overpaid a whopping RM40 for a 12 inch pizza made using a ready made frozen base and skimped ingredients. Try making your own pizza dough guys, it’s a world of difference.
You know the feeling when you’ve shelled out good money hoping for fresh, quality ingredients and a labour of love.. but ended up in meh kinda food? :(
I so wanted it to be a good place to go to regularly. At least service is rather attentive. Not sure if I’d give it...
Read moreSpaghetti lovers, this place is a must-visit! I had a wonderful dining experience at Spegg It, where they specialize in spaghetti dishes. The service was top-notch, with patient staff explaining the menu options and giving us ample time to decide.
I ordered two different types of spaghetti - the Pesto Sweet Basil and Buttermilk Prawn Tempura. The Pesto Sweet Basil was creamy and well-seasoned, while the Buttermilk Prawn Tempura had a slight kick to it and was fried to perfection. The prawns were peeled, making it easy to devour.
The restaurant's ambiance was great - it was air-conditioned, clean, and the staff was attentive. The pricing was reasonable and fitting for the environment and service. I'm definitely coming back for more and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious spaghetti fix. #SpeggIt #SpaghettiLover #PestoSweetBasil #ButtermilkPrawnTempura...
