Small variety restaurant hidden in the USJ 11 neighbourhood. Was recommended this place by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Interior is decorated minimally and gives a nice cozy-family vibe. The owners are also very friendly and will frequently interact with diners. They have some board games for customers but it's very unorganised on the shelf and gives the impression of old and untidy, something to improve upon. We got their signature Pineapple Cheesy Chicken Chop & Pink Sauce Smoke Duck Spaghetti. Chicken chop is pretty decent, the chicken is roasted well with toppings of tomato paste, cheese, and herbs (oregano?), essentially tasted like pizza. The fries were pretty average, although freshly fried and seasoned with salt, it just tasted bland without much texture. However the pink sauce pasta really surprised us, we were initially doubtful about mixing bolognese and carbonara sauce together, but the dish turned out to be absolutely delicious. Definitely give this one a try.

Visited this place after seeing some good reviews online. I ordered the salted egg grilled chicken chop and iced cham. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. With lots of tables and chairs to accommodate big or small groups. The lighting is also good - not too dim. I also noticed that there were some games/board games at the entrance, which will keep you and your family/friends/kids entertained. The food was good - the grilled chicken, coleslaw and the sauce all went very well together. Didn’t manage to take a picture. Price is the usual cafe food price - around RM20+. The iced cham was good too. I appreciated the fact that they offered barista coffee (the classic americano, latte etc) as well as some affordable options for drinks such as kopi, teh and cham. Overall, this was a pleasant visit to “The Bear Hug” :)

i really like the food its very delicious and straight out of the fryer, serve hot and the cute drink with bear climbing out of the cup just the cutest. the fries is my favorite, i also really like the cute drawer full of cards and games for customer to hangout and enjoy. BUT the service here is SUPER double standard, i really try my best to not explode with the way waiters serving me n my sister. i don't know if other customers have experience this but i really not very fond of the servers making faces, mumblings complains under their breaths. first masuk kedai je already not even greetings other customer boleh je greetings elok. why the double standard? is it because im malay eh? really disappointed because the food really good but their servers is not. YES serves with S. please fix the attitudes!
